Rachel Loy
Rachel Loy is an American bass player, songwriter, and indie recording artist, originally from Austin, Texas. Loy burst onto the scene while still studying at Berklee College of Music with the hit song, "The Same Man," released by Sony, which is an account of a friend serving in Iraq. Her albums include ''Love the Mess'' (2005), ''Being Little'' (2006), and ''Tongue and Teeth'' (2007). In 2008 she moved to Nashville, Tennessee and began playing bass on the road and in the studio. She has recorded with country stars Brothers Osborne, Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Dierks Bentley, Toby Keith, Brett Eldredge, Charlie Worsham, Allison Moorer, Granger Smith, and many others. Darius Carlos Rucker (born May 13, 1966) is an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He first gained fame as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of rock band Hootie & the Blowfish, which he founded in 1986 at the University of South Carolina along with Mark Bryan, Jim "Soni" Sonefeld, and Dean Felber. The band released five studio albums with Rucker as a member and charted six top 40 hits on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Rucker co-wrote most of the songs with the other members of the band. Catherine McGrath (born 9 June 1997) is a Northern Irish country music singer and songwriter. ''Country Things'' is the tenth studio album by American country musician Granger Smith, released on September 25, 2020. Work on the album began in early 2019, but the death of Smith's 3-year-old son put the album on hold. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Smith was able to focus on writing songs again and completing the album. The first single from the album, "That's Why I Love Dirt Roads", was released in October 2019. The album was initially released as two individual discs, ''Country Things, Vol. 1'' and ''Country Things, Vol. 2''.
