Rabindra Nath Ghosh is an Indian politician currently serving as the Chairman of Cooch Behar Municipality. He is one of the prominent leaders of All India Trinamool Congress, the ruling political party of West Bengal. He previously served as a Cabinet Minister of the Government of West Bengal from 2016 to 2021. Cooch Behar (), or Koch Bihar, is a city and a municipality in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the headquarters of the Cooch Behar district. It is in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas at . Cooch Behar is the only planned city in the North Bengal region with remnants of royal heritage. Being one of the main tourist destinations of West Bengal, housing the Cooch Behar Palace and Madan Mohan Temple, it has been declared a heritage city. A Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district (constituency) to the legislature of State government in the Indian system of government. From each constituency, the people elect one representative who then becomes a member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Each state has between seven and nine MLAs for every Member of Parliament (MP) that it has in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of India's bicameral parliament. Mihir Goswami is an Indian politician from the state of West Bengal. He was a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from 1996–2001 and 2016–2021, from the Cooch Behar Dakshin constituency. He was the chairman of NBSTC (North Bengal State Transport Corporation). He was a member of Trinamool Congress party until 2020, when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
