RPTV (TV Channel)
RPTV is a Philippine free-to-air television network jointly owned and operated by TV5 Network, Inc. and Nine Media Corporation, together with Radio Philippines Network (RPN) as its free-to-air broadcaster. RPTV is formed under a content distribution, sales and marketing agreement between TV5, with its parent MediaQuest Holdings, and Nine Media, with the former providing programming and other related services to the latter through its existing airtime lease agreement with RPN. RPTV's local programming and master control originates from the TV5 Media Center, Reliance corner Sheridan Streets, in Mandaluyong, while it maintains its relay technical facilities at the Worldwide Corporate Center, Shaw Boulevard corner EDSA, also in Mandaluyong. SDTV
Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems. The two common SDTV signal types are 576i, with 576 interlaced lines of resolution, derived from the European-developed PAL and SECAM systems, and 480i based on the American NTSC system. Very high frequency (VHF) is the ITU designation for the range of radio frequency electromagnetic waves ( radio waves) from 30 to 300 megahertz (MHz), with corresponding wavelengths of ten meters to one meter. Frequencies immediately below VHF are denoted high frequency (HF), and the next higher frequencies are known as ultra high frequency (UHF). One PH is a 24/7 Tagalog-language teleradio news channel owned by MediaQuest Holdings, Inc. through Cignal TV. It was soft launched on February 18, 2019 and was officially launched on July 31, 2019, on satellite provider Cignal. PBA Rush is a 24/7 exclusive channel of Cignal, which has been currently airing games of the Philippine Basketball Association. The channel is patterned after NBA TV and was launched on July 5, 2016. The 3-year partnership agreement between Cignal and the PBA was signed on July 17, 2016, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, 2 days after the opening of the 2016 PBA Governors' Cup. Aside from the live telecast of the PBA games (in English commentary), other programming included in PBA Rush are same-day replays of PBA games (in mostly Tagalog commentary), games from the PBA D-League, (also in mostly Tagalog commentary) and behind-the-scenes shows such as Kuwentong Gilas. Aksyon TV () was a Philippine free-to-air television network. It was a joint venture of Nation Broadcasting Corporation and TV5 Network, Inc. (international operations is under its subsidiary Pilipinas Global Network Ltd.), both under PLDT media arm MediaQuest Holdings.
