The R57 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Vanderbijlpark with Phuthaditjhaba via Sasolburg, Heilbron and Reitz. Route Gauteng The R57 begins at an intersection with the N1 Kroonvaal Toll Highway (East Southbound only) north-west of Vanderbijlpark. It begins by running south-south-east. After 5 kilometres, the R57 meets the R553 ''Golden Highway'' from Sebokeng, which marks its entrance into Vanderbijlpark. The R57 takes over the name ''Golden Highway'' from this junction southwards and makes up the border between the Muvhango Township & Vanderbijlpark Central. From the R553 intersection, the R57 continues south-south-east for 4 kilometres to meet the R42 Road (Barrage Road) adjacent to Vaal Mall at a major junction. The R34 is a long provincial route in South Africa that connects Vryburg with Richards Bay via Kroonstad and Newcastle. It passes through three provinces, North West, the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal. Route North West The R34 begins a few kilometres east of the town of Vryburg, North West at a t-junction with the N14 National Route, which is the main road into the town. The R34 starts by going south-east for 60 kilometres to the town of Schweizer-Reneke. In the town centre, it meets the R506 Road and the R504 Route at a 4-way junction with Schweizer Street. Route Its north-western terminus is a junction with the R42 in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. It goes south-east for 5.5 kilometres as Ascot-on-Vaal Road, crossing the Vaal River into the Free State and crossing the R59 Highway, to reach a t-junction with the R82 at Viljoensdrif. Deneysville
Deneysville is a small town on the banks of the Vaal Dam in the Free State province of South Africa. History Deneysville was established in 1936 and named after Deneys Reitz, writer of ''Commando: A Boer Journal of the Boer War'' and son of former Orange Free State president Francis William Reitz. The lake formed by the Vaal Dam was originally planned to be named ''Lake Deneys'' but was never formally adopted. The town "Deneysville" however, established on the shores of the dam was named after him. The stone cottage on the waterfront which was originally built as a hunting lodge by the Reitz family, is now St. Peter's Church, and has become a popular wedding venue. The R82 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Johannesburg with Kroonstad via Vereeniging and Sasolburg. It starts just south of the M1 Johannesburg Municipal Highway's interchange with the N12 Southern Bypass (Uncle Charlie's Interchange), going south, meeting the R59, R54, R42 & R28 routes at Vereeniging before crossing the Vaal River into the Free State & proceeding to Kroonstad. It is an alternative, but longer route to the N1 National Route between Johannesburg & Kroonstad.
