Parys
Parys (pronounced ) is a town situated on the banks of the Vaal River in the Free State province of South Africa. The name of the town is the Afrikaans translation of Paris. The name was given by a German surveyor named Schilbach who had participated in the siege of Paris during the Franco-Prussian War and the location next to the Vaal reminded him of Paris on the River Seine. Heilbron
Heilbron is a small farming town in the Free State (South African province), Free State province of South Africa which services the cattle, dairy, sorghum, sunflower and maize industries. Raw stock beneficiation occurs in leisure foods, dairy products and stock feeds. It also serves as a dormitory town for the Gauteng metropolis. R59 Road (South Africa)
The R59 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Hertzogville with Alberton (south-east of Johannesburg) via Bothaville, Parys and Vereeniging. The R59 is a freeway from the R57 Junction in Sasolburg until the Alberton N12 Reading Interchange, signposted as the Sybrand van Niekerk Freeway. Route Free State The R59 begins at a t-junction with the R64 about 18 kilometres west of Dealesville. It heads north for 61 kilometres to the town of Hertzogville, where it meets the R708 at a t-junction next to the Palmietpan and they become co-signed northwards. North of the town, the R59 becomes its own road north-east, heading for 50 kilometres to Hoopstad where on the southerly outskirts, before the Vet River, it meets the northern terminus of the R700 at a t-junction and turns northwards. N1 Road (South Africa)
The N1 is a national route in South Africa that runs from Cape Town through Bloemfontein, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Polokwane to Beit Bridge on the border with Zimbabwe. The R82 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Johannesburg with Kroonstad via Vereeniging and Sasolburg. It starts just south of the M1 Johannesburg Municipal Highway's interchange with the N12 Southern Bypass (Uncle Charlie's Interchange), going south, meeting the R59, R54, R42 & R28 routes at Vereeniging before crossing the Vaal River into the Free State & proceeding to Kroonstad. It is an alternative, but longer route to the N1 National Route between Johannesburg & Kroonstad.
