The N14 is a national route in South Africa which runs from Springbok in the Northern Cape to Pretoria in Gauteng. It passes through Upington, Kuruman, Vryburg, Krugersdorp and Centurion. The section between Pretoria and Krugersdorp is maintained by the Gauteng Provincial government and is also designated the P158, and is also a 4-lane dual carriageway with 2 lanes in each direction. Route Northern Cape The western terminus of the N14 begins in Voortrekker Street, Springbok, at an intersection with the R355, just next to its N7 off-ramp. It leaves the town towards the east, crossing under the N7 and then heads north-east past Carolusberg and through the Goegap Nature Reserve. The R500 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Magaliesburg with Parys via Carletonville and Fochville. Route The R500 begins in the North West, 10 kilometres west of Magaliesburg, at a junction with the R509, going southwards. After 2 kilometres, it crosses into Gauteng province. From the R509 junction, it goes southwards for 21 kilometres to reach a junction with the N14 National Route. It proceeds southwards for a further 3 kilometres to meet the western end of the R41 Route from Randfontein. From the R41 junction, the R500 continues southwards for 16 kilometres, bypassing Khutsong and the Abe Bailey Nature Reserve, to enter the towns of Oberholzer and Carletonville. Krugersdorp
Krugersdorp (Afrikaans for ''Kruger's Town'') is a mining city in the West Rand, Gauteng Province, South Africa founded in 1887 by Marthinus Pretorius. Following the discovery of gold on the Witwatersrand, a need arose for a major town in the west of the reef. The government bought part of the Paardekraal farm and named the new town after the Transvaal president, Paul Kruger. Krugersdorp no longer has a separate municipal government after it was integrated into Mogale City Local Municipality along with surrounding towns. It is now the seat of government for Mogale City. The R28 is a provincial route in Gauteng, South Africa that connects Krugersdorp with Vereeniging via Randfontein. The R28 used to connect with Pretoria, but that section of the road is now part of the N14. Route The R28 begins at a 4-way intersection with the N14 national route and the M47 Metropolitan Route north-east of Krugersdorp, Mogale City Local Municipality (at Cradlestone Mall; midway between Krugersdorp and Muldersdrift) (north-west of Roodepoort). The R28 used to proceed north-east as the route to Pretoria, but that section of the road was given to the N14 national route. Kagiso is a township situated in Krugersdorp west of Johannesburg in Gauteng Province, South Africa. The word ''kagiso'' means peace in Tswana. The R564 is a Regional Route in Gauteng, South Africa. Its entire length is now within the metropolis of Johannesburg, connecting Roodepoort with Buccleuch. Route Its south-western end is a junction with the R41 in Roodepoort, at the southern part of the Florida suburb.
