''R.U.L.E.'' is the sixth studio album by American rapper Ja Rule; it was released on November 9, 2004, by The Inc. and Island Def Jam Music Group. The album debuted at number 7 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' 200 chart, selling 165,000 units in its opening week. The album was certified Gold and sold over 658,000 copies in the United States. Singles from the album include " Wonderful" featuring R. Kelly and Ashanti; the top 20 song "New York" featuring Jadakiss and Fat Joe, and the song "Caught Up" featuring Lloyd. The album was also made in a heavily edited version removing profanities, drugs and violent content: it removes the skits "Weed" and "Stripping Game". This version of the album became the most edited album other than his previous album ''Blood in My Eye'' (2003). Jeffrey Bruce Atkins (born February 29, 1976), better known by his stage name Ja Rule (), is an American rapper and actor. Born and raised in New York City, he debuted in 1999 with '' Venni Vetti Vecci'' and its lead single " Holla Holla". During the 2000s, Ja Rule was signed to Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. ''Exodus'' is a 2005 greatest hits album by rapper Ja Rule. He had released an album every year since 1999, but in 2005, with no new album planned The Inc. released this greatest hits album featuring songs such as " Mesmerize" and " Wonderful". Irv Gotti was forced to release one more album from Ja and Ashanti to honor his contract with Def Jam. Universal did not want to support a full LP by either artist so 2 greatest hits sets were released. The version of It's Murda on this album is shortened and not the original. The album was also made in an edited version, which has some lacks of censorship in songs due to different times the songs were edited at. "New York" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Ja Rule, released October 27, 2004 as the second single from his sixth studio album '' R.U.L.E.'' (2004). The track, produced by Cool & Dre, features fellow New York rappers Fat Joe and Jadakiss. The song's chorus is based on Boogie Down Productions' 1990 song, "100 Guns". Lloyd Polite Jr. (born January 3, 1986), is an American R&B singer. Born in New Orleans and raised in Decatur, he initially began his musical career as a member of the preteen-boy band N-Toon.
