"Quédate conmigo" (, "") is a song recorded by Spanish singer Pastora Soler. The song was written by Thomas G:son, Tony Sánchez-Ohlsson and Erik Bernholm. It is best known as the Spanish entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, in Baku. Background On 21 December 2011, Soler was announced by RTVE as the Spanish representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Soler and her team picked four songs to be in contention for the Eurovision Song Contest, and she sang three of these at the Spanish national final. "Quédate conmigo", together with "Tu vida es tu vida", was selected directly by Soler for the national final, whereas "Ahora o nunca" was selected through an online vote over "Me despido de ti". Unlike "Tu vida es tu vida", "Quédate conmigo" was not a song from Soler's latest album ''Una mujer como yo'', she chose it from over 200 proposals she received through her record company. María del Pilar Sánchez Luque (born 28 September 1978 in Coria del Río, Seville), better known by her stage name Pastora Soler, is a Spanish singer. She is also a songwriter and her compositions usually mix copla or flamenco with pop or electronic music. Soler represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan with the song "Quédate conmigo" and came in 10th place. Career Early years A precocious chanteuse, she started singing coplas and flamenco songs at several events when she was a child. ''Operación Triunfo'' is a Spanish reality television music competition to find new singing talent. The ninth series, also known as ''Operación Triunfo 2017'', aired on La 1 from 23 October 2017 to 5 February 2018, presented by Roberto Leal. It was the first season broadcast by RTVE, which aired the first three seasons, in thirteen years. Seasons 4–8 of ''Operación Triunfo'' aired on Telecinco, which discontinued the series in 2011 due to declining ratings. RTVE approved to revive the series with a budget of 10.2 million euros.
