Qatar Executive
Qatar Executive ( ar, القطرية لطائرات رجال الاعمال) is a business jet subsidiary of Qatar Airways, based in Doha. It was launched on June 16, 2009 at the Paris Air Show. Apart from its core business of aircraft charters, Qatar Executive's service portfolio also includes aircraft management, maintenance and a full range of fixed-base operator (FBO) services at Doha International Airport. As part of the Qatar Airways Group, Qatar Executive is also responsible for Qatar Airways Charter requests. With a new hangar opened in March 2011, Qatar Executive has entered the FBO and maintenance service for business jets coming to Doha. In March 2012, Bombardier appointed Qatar Executive as its Authorized Service Facility for Challenger and Global aircraft in the Middle East. Bombardier Global Express XRS
The Bombardier Global Express is a large cabin, 6,000 nmi / 11,100 km range business jet designed and manufactured by Bombardier Aviation (formerly Bombardier Aerospace). Announced in October 1991, it first flew on 13 October 1996, received its Canadian type certification on 31 July 1998 and entered service in July 1999. Initially powered by two BMW/Rolls-Royce BR710s, it shares its fuselage cross section with the Canadair Regional Jet and Challenger 600 with a new wing and tail. The shorter range Global 5000 is slightly smaller and the Global 6000 is updated and has been modified for military missions. Bombardier Challenger 605
The Bombardier Challenger 600 series is a family of business jets developed by Canadair after a Bill Lear concept, and then produced from 1986 by its new owner, Bombardier Aerospace. At the end of 1975, Canadair began funding the development of LearStar 600, and then bought the design for a wide-cabin business jet in April 1976. On 29 October, the programme was launched, backed by the Canadian federal government, and designed to comply with new FAR part 25 standards. In March 1977, it was renamed the Challenger 600 after Bill Lear was phased out, and the original conventional tail was changed for a T-tail among other developments. The first prototype was rolled out on 25 May 1978, and performed its maiden flight on 8 November.
