Quinndary Weatherspoon
Quinndary Sammy Weatherspoon (born September 10, 1996) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Tianjin Pioneers of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played four seasons of college basketball for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Weatherspoon was selected 49th overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2019 NBA draft. After two seasons with the team, he joined the Warriors in 2021. During his first season with the Warriors, he won an NBA championship. Early life Born in Canton, Mississippi, Weatherspoon is the son of Sharon and Tommie Weatherspoon and has two younger brothers, Nick and Brandon, who are also basketball players. Portsmouth Invitational Tournament
The Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, (PIT), is the oldest amateur basketball tournament in the United States and the only postseason camp restricted to college basketball seniors. The Portsmouth Invitational is the first of two NBA pre-draft camps, the other being the Orlando pre-draft camp. In 2019, SB Ballard construction was the lead sponsor of the uniforms as they began to expand into building arenas around the country. It was announced on March 14, 2020, the 68 annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The four-day tournament format consists of twelve games (eight teams of eight players each play three games) and has been held annually since 1953. Malik Tidderious Newman (born February 21, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for Avtodor Saratov of the VTB United League. He played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks. Benjamin Clark Howland (born May 28, 1957) is an American college basketball coach who most recently served as the men's head coach at Mississippi State University from to 2015 to 2022. He served as the head men's basketball coach at Northern Arizona University from 1994 to 1999, the University of Pittsburgh from 1999 to 2003, and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 2003 to 2013.
