Quicky
Quicky is a rabbit character that Nestlé's chocolate-focused brand Nesquik uses as their official mascot. The mascot made his debut in 1973. Quicky's cereal box appearance and given name evokes associations with speed and easiness within the consumers mind. The animal choice of rabbit is not a coincidence, but rather a clever choice, since rabbits are known for their speed. In the TV commercials Quicky's voice acting work is done by Barry Gordon, but sometimes also by other male actors. The mascot's outlook was somewhat redesigned from 2005 and onwards to appear more detailed and modern. Toy items A LEGO minifigure version of Quicky was released in 2001. Barry Gordon
Barry Gordon (born December 21, 1948) is an American actor and political talk show host. He was the longest-serving president of the Screen Actors Guild, having served from 1988 to 1995. He is perhaps best known as the original voice of Donatello and Bebop in the ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'' franchise. Early life Gordon was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, United States. His stepfather, Bob Manning, was a crooner of popular love songs in the 1940s and 1950s, most known for his rendition of Hoagy Carmichael's "The Nearness of You". Acting Childhood career Gordon began performing at age three; in his television debut, he won second place on Ted Mack's ''Amateur Hour'' singing Johnnie Ray's "Cry". Snap, Crackle and Pop are the cartoon mascots of Rice Krispies, a brand of breakfast cereal marketed by Kellogg's. History The gnome characters were originally designed by illustrator Vernon Grant in the early 1930s. The names are onomatopoeia and were derived from a Rice Krispies radio ad: The first character appeared on the product's packaging in 1933. Grant added two more and named the trio Snap, Crackle and Pop. Snap is usually portrayed wearing a chef's toque. Bibendum (), commonly referred to in English as the Michelin Man or Michelin Tyre Man, is the official mascot of the Michelin tyre company. Charlie the Tuna is the cartoon mascot and spokes-tuna for the StarKist brand. He was created in 1961 by Tom Rogers of the Leo Burnett Agency. StarKist Tuna is owned by Dongwon Industries, a South Korea-based conglomerate. Charlie is one of the most recognized characters in American advertising.
