Quercianella
Quercianella is a ''frazione'' of the ''comune'' of Livorno, in the province of Livorno, Tuscany, Italy. It represents the extreme south of Livorno, and is separated from the city by a stretch of rocky coastline denominated "Il Romito." The frazione is located a few kilometers north of Castiglioncello. Saint Anne
According to Christian apocryphal and Islamic tradition, Saint Anne was the mother of Mary and the maternal grandmother of Jesus. Mary's mother is not named in the canonical gospels. Most ''frazioni'' were created during the Fascist era (1922–1943) as a way to consolidate territorial subdivisions in the country. Castiglioncello (formerly ''Castiglione Mondiglio'') is a ''frazione'' of 3800 inhabitants of the ''comune'' of Rosignano Marittimo, in the province of Livorno, Tuscany, Italy.
