Quela, Angola
Quela is a town and municipality in Malanje Province in Angola. The municipality has 20,949 inhabitants in 2014. It is bounded to the north by the municipalities of Caombo and Kunda-dia-Base, to the east by the municipality of Xá-Muteba, to the south by the municipality of Cambundi-Catembo, and to the west by the municipalities of Mucari and Cuaba Nzogo. Most of the population are farmers. ''Quelea'' is a genus of small passerine birds that belongs to the weaver family Ploceidae, confined to Africa. These are small-sized, sparrow- or finch-like gregarious birds, with bills adapted to eating seeds. Queleas may be nomadic over vast ranges; the red-billed quelea is said to be the most numerous bird species in the world. Malanje is a Provinces of Angola, province of Angola. It has an area of 97,602 km² and a 2014 census population of 986,363. Malanje is the provincial capital. Geography The Malanje Province is located in the north of Angola, the provincial capital and largest town of Malanje located by road east of the national capital of Luanda. It is bordered to the northwest by Uige Province, to the northeast by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the east by Lunda Norte Province and Lunda Sul Province, to the south by Bié Province and Cuanza Sul Province, and in the west by Cuanza Norte Province.
