The Queen of the Turf Stakes, raced as The Coolmore Legacy Stakes, is an Australian Turf Club Group 1 Weight for age horse race for fillies and mares aged three years old and upwards, over a distance of 1600 metres at Royal Randwick Racecourse, Sydney in the autumn during the ATC Championships series. It is run on the same day as the Sydney Cup. Total prizemoney is A$1,000,000. Randwick Racecourse is Crown Land leased to the Australian Turf Club and known to many Sydney racegoers as headquarters. Rosehill Racecourse
The Rosehill Gardens Racecourse is located in the Western Sydney suburb of Rosehill, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is operated by the Australian Turf Club. Rosehill holds horse races for thoroughbred gallopers on a grass surface. It is one of the two premier racecourses in Sydney, the other one being Randwick Racecourse. Divine Madonna (foaled 8 October 2002) is an Australian Thoroughbred racemare. She won four group one (G1) races, the 2006 Emirates Stakes, 2007 Queen of the Turf Stakes, 2007 Toorak Handicap and the 2007 Myer Classic. Divine Madonna had 26 race starts and only finished out of the top five runners twice in her career. She was a brown mare bred by Mill Park Stud & R. Dinham of South Australia and was sired by Hurricane Sky from My Madonna by Prego (IRE). Typhoon Tracy (5 September 2005 – 13 August 2012) was an outstanding Australian Thoroughbred racemare who won six group one (G1) races and was crowned Australian Racehorse of the Year for 2009/10. Breeding She was bred and is raced by Hutchins Thoroughbreds of Queensland and is by the good sire, Red Ransom (USA) her dam is the 2010 TBQA Broodmare of the Year, Tracy's Element who won four G1 races and a G2 race in South Africa. More Joyous (foaled 20 August 2006) is an Australian trained and New Zealand bred Thoroughbred racemare, trained by Gai Waterhouse, who has won eight Group 1 races. Pedigree More Joyous is by the leading Southern Halo sire More Than Ready, and from the Australian Oaks winning Sunday Silence mare Sunday Joy. Racing career More Joyous made her debut in January 2009 by winning a two-year -ld fillies handicap by five and a half lengths. Canterbury Park Racecourse
Canterbury Park Racecourse is a racecourse for horse racing in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is located 11 km (7 mi) from the Sydney Central Business District, in King Street in the suburb of Canterbury, adjacent to Canterbury railway station. History The first horse racing in Canterbury was in 1852 when Cornelius Proud cleared part of his property for use as a racecourse, this was used regularly by locals. Australian Turf Club (ATC) owns and operates thoroughbred racing, events and hospitality venues across Sydney, Australia. The ATC came into being on 7 February 2011 when the Australian Jockey Club (AJC) and the Sydney Turf Club (STC) merged.
