''Que Bom Te Ver Viva'' (English: ''How Nice to See You Alive'') is a 1989 Brazilian docudrama directed by Lúcia Murat, which portrays the situation of torture experienced during the military dictatorship in Brazil. Synopsis Lúcia Murat, who was tortured during the military dictatorship, chronicles the lives of some Brazilian women who took up arms against the military regime. There are a number of guerrilla testimonies and daily scenes from these women who have recovered, each in their own way, the various meanings of life. Lúcia Murat
Lúcia Murat (born 1949 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian filmmaker. Murat participated in the student and guerrilla movements against the Brazilian military government, military dictatorship in Brazil in the 1960–1970s. She was imprisoned and tortured by military agents; that experience exerted a strong influence on her work. Murat worked as a journalist for newspapers like ''Jornal do Brasil'' and ''O Globo'' before becoming a film director. Her feature film ''Que Bom Te Ver Viva'' is a compendium of stories and memories of her and other political prisoners. In 2004, she returned to the theme with ''Almost Brothers, Quase Dois Irmãos'', winning the Best Ibero-American Film Award at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, Mar del Plata Festival. Walter Carvalho (born 1947 in João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil) is a critically and internationally acclaimed Brazilian cinematographer. Cinemateca Brasileira
The Cinemateca Brasileira is the institution responsible for preserving Brazilian audiovisual production. In July 2021, it experienced a major fire. Since 1940, it has been developing activities around the dissemination and restoration of its collection, with around 250 thousand rolls of films and more than one million documents related to cinema.
