Qazi Abdul Majeed Abid
Qazi Abdul Majeed Abid or Qazi Abid ( ur, قاضی عبد المجید عابد ), was the father of Former National Speaker Fahmida Mirza and former member of the National Assembly and Chairman of the Daily Ibrat Newspaper Kazi Asad Abid. He died due to lung cancer on 27 August 1996. He was a prominent politician and journalist from Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan. Qazi Abid held several positions in the Federal Cabinet of numerous Pakistani Prime Ministers. His positions included Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Federal Minister of Education, Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture, and Federal Minister for Water and Power. He was the publisher of the ''Daily Ibrat'', a Sindhi newspaper, which is still published by his son Qazi Asad Abid. Hyderabad ( Sindhi and ur, ; ) is a city and the capital of Hyderabad Division in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is the second-largest city in Sindh, and the eighth largest in Pakistan. Fahmida Mirza ( ur, ; born 20 December 1956) is a Pakistani politician who was Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination, in office from 20 August 2018 until 10 April 2022. She served as the 18th and only women Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan from March 2008 to June 2013. Previously, she was a member of the National Assembly from 1997 to 1999 , 2002 to May 2018 and again she has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018. Zulfiqar Mirza (Urdu: ) is a Pakistani politician who is currently affiliated with the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA). He is from Badin District, Sindh, Pakistan. Early life and education He acquired his early education from Cadet College Petaro, Muslim College Hyderabad, and Cantt College Hyderabad, and completed his MBBS from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in 1980. He enlisted in the Pakistan Army Medical Corps as a captain. He received his training from the Pakistan Military Academy, and later joined Pakistan Navy. Sindhi Language
Sindhi ( ; , ) is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by about 30 million people in the Pakistani province of Sindh, where it has official status. It is also spoken by a further 1.7 million people in India, where it is a Scheduled languages of India, scheduled language, without any state-level official status. The Qazis of Hyderabad, Sindh ( ur, حيدر آباد سنده قاضی ) (also spelled "Kazis") are an established Pakistani and Sindhi political family from Hyderabad, Sindh. Most, though not all, members of the family that were in politics were known by their title, Qazi, which is the name given to certain Judges under Islamic Law, instead of their last name "Abbasi". Zafar Hussain Mirza
Zaffar Hussain Mirza (10 October 1926 – 27 August 2015) was a Pakistani judge and the father of former Home Minister of Sindh Zulfiqar Mirza. He was also the grandfather of Hasnain Mirza. Early life Mirza was born on October 10, 1926, in Tando Thoro, Hyderabad, to Mirza Ali Nawaz Baig.
