''Puzzle Kingdoms'' is a puzzle video game developed by Infinite Interactive for PC, Nintendo DS and Wii. The PC version is available to download online through services such as IGN's Direct2Drive and Steam. Like Infinite Interactive's previous game '' Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords'', ''Puzzle Kingdom'' relies on a core combat mechanic similar to ''Bejeweled'', though this offering incorporates turn-based strategy elements as well. ''Puzzle Kingdom'' also shares the same game universe as ''Puzzle Quest'', the fantasy world of Etheria from the ''Warlords'' game series. Reception ''Puzzle Kingdoms'' received mixed reviews from critics upon release. On Metacritic, the game holds scores of 64/100 for the DS version based on 12 reviews, and 63/100 for the Wii version based on 11 reviews. Infinite Interactive
Infinity Plus Two, previously Infinite Interactive, is a video game developer with headquarters in St Kilda, Victoria, Australia. The company was founded by Steve Fawkner in 1989. After a long alliance with SSG, resulting in the development of the Warlords series of games, Steve moved on to make Infinite totally independent in 2003. Infinite Interactive was one of the first developers to port a full custom game engine to the iPhone in 2009. However due to Publisher issues it was not until much later that any properties were released on the iOS platform. In 2011, the company was acquired by fellow Australian developers Firemint, creators of Flight Control and Real Racing - however, in late 2012 Infinite Interactive announced their return as an independent developer. GameRankings was a video gaming review aggregator that was founded in 1999 and owned by CBS Interactive. It indexed over 315,000 articles relating to more than 14,500 video games. GameRankings was discontinued in December 2019, with its staff being merged with the similar aggregator Metacritic. Rankings GameRankings collected and linked to (but did not host) reviews from other websites and magazines and averages specific ones. While hundreds of reviews may get listed, only the ones that GameRankings deemed notable were used for the average. Scores were culled from numerous American and European sources. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. Metacritic's scoring converts each review into a percentage, either mathematically from the mark given, or what the site decides subjectively from a qualitative review.
