Puthir
''Puthir'' (also known under the spelling ''Pudhir'', meaning 'Puzzle') is a 1986 movie that was directed by Siddalingaiah. It starred actor Murali in his first dual role in Tamil movies. The film was a remake of director's own Kannada film ''Ajeya''. Murali acted in Kannada version as well. Plot Anuradha is a wealthy and spoiled teenage girl who is raised by her step-mother, while her father died under mysterious circumstances. Vijay(Murali) appears as a poor educated youth who happens to save her from a group of vagabonds. She, however, constantly gets into fights with Vijay, which eventually leads to the two falling in love. Their love is met with many obstacles, as Anuradha's scheming uncle and cousin (Chinni Jayanth) try to gain all of Anuradha's wealth. Siddalingaiah
Siddalingaiah (15 December 1936 – 12 March 2015) was an Indian film director, scriptwriter and producer who worked mainly in the Kannada films. He was well known for his distinct film-making style, and the industry knew him as a master of social themes and rural subject matter. He was one of the most commercially successful directors in the Kannada industry. He began his film career in 1964 as a director with ''Mayor Muthanna'' (1969). S. D. Murali (19 May 1964 – 8 September 2010) was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada and Tamil films. He was famous for roles that portrayed him as a perceptive singer or a tragic lover. His son, Atharvaa, debuted as an actor in the 2010 film ''Baana Kaathadi''. Early life Murali was born on 19 May 1964 in Bangalore to a Kannadiga father and Tamil mother. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet.
