Present Arms (command)
Present arms is a two-part drill command used by many militaries and public safety professionals in the world as a sign of respect. It comes from the old British command "Arms to the present!" This was used especially between 1700 and about the late nineteenth century in Great Britain and later the United Kingdom. Present Arms Fixing Bayonet
The present (or here'' and ''now) is the time that is associated with the events perceived directly and in the first time, not as a recollection (perceived more than once) or a speculation (predicted, hypothesis, uncertain). It is a period of time between the past and the future, and can vary in meaning from being an instant to a day or longer. Hilt
The hilt (rarely called a haft or shaft) of a knife, dagger, sword, or bayonet is its handle, consisting of a guard, grip and pommel. The guard may contain a crossguard or quillons. A tassel or sword knot may be attached to the guard or pommel. Pommel The pommel (Anglo-Norman "little apple") is an enlarged fitting at the top of the handle. Honour Guard Battalion (Armenia)
The Honour Guard Company of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia ( hy, Հայաստանի Պաշտպանության նախարարության Պատվո պահքի գումարտակը) is a military unit of Armed Forces of Armenia that performs protocol tasks for high-ranking officials at the Presidential Palace and the Prime Minister's Residence. The unit is under direct command of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. Most members of the unit are graduates of the Vazgen Sargsyan Military University. Andrei Olgertovich Volozhinsky (russian: Андрей Ольгертович Воложинский; born 4 June 1960) is an officer of the Russian Navy. He holds the rank of vice-admiral, and has most recently served as the First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy and Chief of the General Staff of the Navy, between 2016 and 2019. The AK-74 (Russian: , tr. ''Avtomat Kalashnikova obraztsa 1974 goda'', lit. 'Kalashnikov assault rifle model 1974) is an assault rifle designed by small arms designer Mikhail Kalashnikov in 1974.
