Pratyusha
Prathyusha (29 August 1981 – 23 February 2002) was an Indian actress who appeared in Telugu and Tamil language films. Early life and film career Pratyusha was born in Bhongir of present-day Telangana into a middle-class family. Her mother, Mrs. Sarojini Devi, is a government school teacher. Her brother is Praneet Chandra (also known as Krishna Chandra). Pratyusha was schooled at Santosh Vidhya Niketan, Bhuvanagiri, Prakash Public School, Miryalaguda and later at St. Anns High School, Tarnaka, Hyderabad. Pratyusha completed her intermediate from Gouthami Residential Academy, S.R.Nagar and graduation in Bachelor of Hotel Management at Banjara Hills and JB Institute of Hotel Management. Pratyusha participated in Television Star 2000 Contest and was crowned Ms. Lovely Smile. Her success in the contest paved way to enter the film world. ''Kadal Pookkal'' () is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Bharathiraja which stars Murali, Manoj Bharathiraja, Umashankari, Pratyusha and Sindhu Menon. The film was delayed several times before release but opened to critical acclaim with Bharatiraja winning the National Film Award for Best Screenplay and Murali has won Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor. ''Kalusukovalani'' () is a 2002 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by R. Raghuraj and written by Vakkantham Vamsi. The film stars Uday Kiran, Gajala and Prathyusha. The film also marks Prathyusha's final film, just before her untimely demise; she died exactly two weeks, after the film's release. ''Kalusukovalani'' was an average grosser at the box-office. The film was remade by Raghuraj in Tamil as ''Ice'' (2003). Plot Ravi (Uday Kiran), a strong headed young man gets an opportunity to travel to Switzerland after meeting Viswanatham (Satyanarayana) and becomes the general manager of Vishwanathan's business.
