El Pozo is a small town located about 20 minutes northeast of Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico Mexico (Spanish: México), officially the United Mexican States, is a country in the southern portion of North America. Pozo (Spanish for "Well") is an unincorporated community along the former Butterfield Overland Mail stagecoach route, in San Luis Obispo County, California. The closest communities appearing on road maps are California Valley and Santa Margarita. A USGS-provided set of coordinates for the town are on the Santa Margarita Lake 7.5-minute quadrangle. Pozo was named by George Washington Lingo, Esq., "a well known citizen" who proposed the name for the post office because the village is in a holelike valley—pozo means "well" or "hole" in Spanish. Pozo is home to the still thriving Pozo Saloon, established in 1858. During its early years, the Pozo Saloon was the primary watering hole for weary travelers making their way over Pozo Summit. Rubén Pozo
Rubén Pozo Prats (born 21 July 1975) is a Spanish musician singer and songwriter. In the second half of the 90s he formed a band called "Buenas Noches Rose", which he recorded three CD's. After the breaking up of the band he created the group "Pereza" with Leiva (Jose Miguel Conejo). Biography Ruben Pozo was born in Barcelona and grew up in the neighbourhood of Alameda de Osuna, Madrid. He started playing the guitar when he was a teenager interpreting the groups he liked, such as "Extremoduro, Barricada, Kiko Veneno, Pepe Risi, Santiago Auseron or Sabino Méndez". He also was influenced by the English Rock With groups like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Marc Bolan and The New York Dolls. He had not finished high school yet when he formed the band Buenas Noches Rose, being the guitarist and the songwriter of the group. Pablo Antonio Pozo Quinteros (born March 27, 1973) is a former Chilean football referee. In 2008 Pozo refereed in the Beijing Olympics and the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan. In the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa Pozo became the first Chilean to referee a World Cup since Mario Sanchez Yanten participated in the 1998 World Cup in France. He was originally scheduled to take charge of the first-round match between Algeria and Slovenia in Johannesburg on Sunday, 13 June, but suffered an injury several days beforehand. FIFA named Carlos Batres of Guatemala as his replacement. On June 18, FIFA designated him as the referee for the Group G match between Portugal and Korea DPR in Cape Town Stadium, Cape Town on Monday, June 21. Luz Pozo Garza (Ribadeo, 21 July 1922 – A Coruña , 20 April 2020), was a Spanish poet and a member of the Royal Galician Academy. Biography She began her studies in Ribadeo with the painter and sculptor, Prieto Coussent. At the age of fourteen, due to the Spanish Civil War and the persecution of her father, she moved with her family to Lugo and later to Larache (Spanish protectorate in Morocco). Back in Galicia, she settled in Viveiro. There, she carried out various musical studies that left a unique mark on her poetics. She also studied education and philology of Romanesque art. Her first works were published in ''Las Riberas del Eo'', ''Lana Noche'', ''Poesía Española'', ''Ínsula'' or ''Vida Gallega''. Her mentor was Dionisio Gamallo Fierros. Later, after settling in Vigo, she developed a long teaching career at the Nigrán as a teacher of Spanish language and literature in Secondary education, retiring in 1987.
