Luz Pozo Garza
Luz Pozo Garza (Ribadeo, 21 July 1922 – A Coruña , 20 April 2020), was a Spanish poet and a member of the Royal Galician Academy. Biography She began her studies in Ribadeo with the painter and sculptor, Prieto Coussent. At the age of fourteen, due to the Spanish Civil War and the persecution of her father, she moved with her family to Lugo and later to Larache (Spanish protectorate in Morocco). Back in Galicia, she settled in Viveiro. There, she carried out various musical studies that left a unique mark on her poetics. She also studied education and philology of Romanesque art. Her first works were published in ''Las Riberas del Eo'', ''Lana Noche'', ''Poesía Española'', ''Ínsula'' or ''Vida Gallega''. Her mentor was Dionisio Gamallo Fierros. Later, after settling in Vigo, she developed a long teaching career at the Nigrán as a teacher of Spanish language and literature in Secondary education, retiring in 1987. Tomás Barros Pardo
Tomás Barros Pardo (Toledo, 1922 – La Coruña, 1986) was a Spanish painter and author. Painter, poet, composer, author of plays, essays and one novel, occasional reporter, PhD in Fine Arts, and member of the Royal Galician Academy, Tomás Barros was one of the most prolific intellectuals among the Galician writers that stayed in Francoist Spain. As with many of this group of non-exiled artists and intellectuals, he shared concerns and collaborations with the exiled ones, as would be the case with Luis Seoane, Rafael Dieste, Vicente Aleixandre, Celso Emilio Ferreiro and his cousin Isaac Díaz Pardo Biography Accidentally born in Toledo in 1922, his family returned in 1929 to their city of origin, Ferrol, where he would spend his childhood and early youth. The Xeración Galaxia (Galaxy Generation) were a group of Galician language writers centred on the Editorial Galaxia (founded 1950) which was established to publish and translate modern texts that would develop Galician national literature. The name echoes that of the 1920s intellectual group Xeración Nós Xeración Nós was a Galician nationalist intellectual group of the 1920s, which followed from the cultural Rexurdimento movement of the 19th century. Celanova
Celanova is a town and municipality located in the province of Ourense, Galicia, Northern Spain. Situated near the border with Portugal, the municipality is bordered by Ramirás, Cartelle, A Merca, A Bola, Verea and Quintela de Leirado. The Arnoia river crosses the southern limits of the township. The municipality has 6,020 inhabitants. The provincial capital Ourense is located 23 km away on highway N-540 (Ourense to Portugal via Lindoso). The Monastery of San Salvador de Celanova is the most important building in a well-preserved historical center. It was founded by St. Rudesind (San Rosendo) in 936. Culleredo
Culleredo is a municipality of northwestern Spain in the province of A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia. Culleredo is located on the outskirts of A Coruña and its population is mainly formed of commuters. It is located in the central area of the province.
