Port Krym Railway Station
Krym ( uk, Крим, russian: Крым) is a railway station that is located in the city of Kerch in Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine, but ''de facto'' under control and administration of Russia. The station is an important transportation hub. The station serves passengers and freight trains. Among the services provided at the station is only embarkment and disembarkment of passengers for commuter and regional lines. In a close vicinity is located Port Krym where trains are being transported by ferry. United Nations General Assembly Resolution 68/262
United Nations General Assembly Resolution 68/262 was adopted on 27 March 2014 by the sixty-eighth session of the United Nations General Assembly in response to the Russian annexation of Crimea and entitled "territorial integrity of Ukraine". The nonbinding resolution, which was supported by 100 United Nations member states, affirmed the General Assembly's commitment to the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and underscored the invalidity of the 2014 Crimean referendum. Annexation Of Crimea By The Russian Federation
In February and March 2014, Russia invaded and subsequently annexed the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine. This event took place in the aftermath of the Revolution of Dignity and is part of the wider Russo-Ukrainian War. The events in Kyiv that ousted Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych on 22 February 2014 sparked pro-Russian demonstrations as of 23 February against the (prospected) new Ukrainian government. Prydnipro Railway or Cisdnieper Railway ''( uk, Придніпровська залiзниця, translit=Prydniprovska zaliznytsia (PZ), lit= Near-Dnipro railway)'' is a regional operator of Ukrainian Railways in the south of Ukraine with headquarters in Dnipro city. The PZ consists of three divisions – Dnipro Railway, Zaporizhzhia Railway, Kryvyi Rih Railway. The Crimea Railway (russian: link=no, Крымская железная дорога, Krimskaya Zheleznaya Doroga) is a railroad located in Crimea, providing passenger and freight services to Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea. Crimea Railway is a unitary enterprise company independent of Russian Railways, and headquartered in Simferopol. It was founded in 2014 following the Russian annexation of Crimea from units of the Crimean Directorate of the Ukrainian Cisdnieper Railways.
