Pondattiye Deivam
''Pondattiye Deivam'' () is a 1994 Tamil language comedy film directed by N. K. Viswanathan. The film stars S. Ve. Shekher and Sithara (actress), Sithara, with Janagaraj, V. K. Ramasamy (actor), V. K. Ramasamy, Vennira Aadai Moorthy, Vinu Chakravarthy, J. Livingston, Livingston, Kovai Sarala and Roopa Sree playing supporting roles. The film, produced by T. S. Saravanan, was released on 4 March 1994. Plot Pattabi (S. Ve. Shekher) is submitted to his dominating wife Parimala (Sithara (actress), Sithara) and she makes his life a living hell. Parimala is goodwill but she has a hysterical temper that is frightening his husband Pattabi. Pattabi works as a secretary in Cholla company and earns a decent salary, but his miserly wife forbids him to spend money and keeps all his money. So Pattabi spends his time lamenting about his wife's torture to others. Pulavar Pulamaipithan (6 October 1935 – 8 September 2021) was an Indian scholar, poet and lyricist who got recognition through the song "Naan yaar nee yaar" which was featured in the Tamil film ''Kudiyirundha Koyil'' in 1968. He briefly served as the presidium chairman of AIADMK from 2002 to 2003, when he resigned citing ill-health. Biography Pulamaipithan was born in Irugur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on 6 October 1935. At the early age Pulavar used to work in textile mill known as Combodia mills in Coimbatore and also studied his Tamil literature in Tava Tiru Shanthalinga Adigalar Perur Tamil Kaluri Coimbatore. Gopalarathnam, known by his stage name Typist Gopu, was an Indian actor known for comedy and supporting roles. He acted in over 600 stage plays and 400 films. Career A native of Manakkal, Lalgudi in Trichy district, Gopalarathnam was active in college dramas during his B. Com. from Vivekananda College, Chennai and got introduced to the stage through his friend Nagesh in his drama troupe in 1955.
