Politics Of Henan
The Politics of Henan Province in the People's Republic of China is structured in a dual party-government system like all other governing institutions in mainland China. The Governor of Henan is the highest-ranking official in the People's Government of Henan. Henan
Henan (; or ; ; alternatively Honan) is a landlocked province of China, in the central part of the country. Henan is often referred to as Zhongyuan or Zhongzhou (), which literally means "central plain" or "midland", although the name is also applied to the entirety of China proper. Henan is a birthplace of Han Chinese civilization, with over 3,200 years of recorded history and remained China's cultural, economic and political center until approximately 1,000 years ago. Henan Province is home to many heritage sites, including the ruins of Shang dynasty capital city Yin and the Shaolin Temple. Four of the Eight Great Ancient Capitals of China, Luoyang, Anyang, Kaifeng and Zhengzhou, are in Henan. Wang Kai (politician)
Wang Kai (; born July 1962) is a Chinese politician currently serving as governor of Henan. Previously he served as party chief of Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin province. He entered the workforce in October 1983, and joined the Chinese Communist Party in December 1984. Early life and education Wang was born in Luoyang, Henan, in July 1962. After the resumption of college entrance examination, in 1979, he was admitted to Shanxi University, where he majored in political economics. After university in 1983, he became a teacher at Party School of Jincheng of the Chinese Communist Party. Yin Hong
Yin Hong (; born June 1963) is a Chinese politician who is the current Communist Party Secretary of Jiangxi. He served as the Governor of Henan from December 2019 to March 2021. Previously he had spent his entire political career in Shanghai. Biography Yin was born in Huzhou. He graduated from the Shanghai University of Technology with a double major in engineering and law. He joined the workforce in July 1985. After graduating, he became involved in the university's Communist Youth League organization. He was then transferred to the Shanghai planning commission to work as a functionary. Chen Run'er (; born October 1957) is a Chinese politician who served as the Communist Party Secretary of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region from October 2019 to March 2022. He formerly served as Governor of Henan Province, the Deputy Communist Party Chief of Heilongjiang Province, and Party Chief of the cities of Changsha and Xiangtan in his home province of Hunan. Li Chengyu
Li Chengyu () (born August 1946) is a Chinese politician. He served as the Governor of Henan between 2003 and 2008, and president of All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives between 2008 and 2011. Biography Li Chengyu was born in Haiyuan County, Ningxia in 1946. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1971. In 1978, he became head of the Communist Youth League in Ningxia. In 1985 he became the commissioner of the Yinnan Prefecture (mayor equivalent). Between 1988 and 1992 he served as Vice-Chairman of Ningxia. Cheng Weigao
Cheng Weigao (; September 1933 – December 28, 2010) was a Chinese politician, best known for his term as the Communist Party Secretary of Hebei province between 1993 and 1998. In his late career, Cheng was expelled from the Chinese Communist Party in 2003 after a corruption investigation. He was demoted, but not charged. Cheng's son, Cheng Muyang (Michael Ching), lives in Vancouver, Canada as of 2015. Biography Cheng was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Yu Mingtao
Yu Mingtao (; November 1917 – May 28, 2017) was a politician of the People's Republic of China. He was the first Auditor General of National Audit Office of the People's Republic of China. Lou Yangsheng
Lou Yangsheng (; born October 1959) is a Chinese politician and the current Communist Party Secretary of Henan province. Originally from Zhejiang province, Lou was the Communist Party Secretary of Lishui in his early career. He headed the party's propaganda department in Hainan before being transferred to Shanxi to become the provincial Deputy Party Secretary. Wang Guosheng (; born May 1956) is a Chinese politician and senior regional official, serving as the Communist Party Secretary of Henan province from 2018 to 2021. Previously, he served as Governor of Hubei province, and the Communist Party Secretary of Qinghai province. Career Wang was born in Dong'e County, Shandong province.
