Police College (Qatar)
Police College (Qatar) is a security college that works under the Ministry of Interior – Qatar and it has been established as per the Emiri Decree No. 161 of 2013, issued by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir. The College is supervised by a Supreme Council that consists of 10 members representing the different authorities inside and outside the ministry. The College was established as a translation of Qatar National Vision 2030 with respect to the Interior Ministry, which aims to strengthen its human resources with highly qualified and trained officers in order to achieve the highest competency in prevention of crime and its control and thus maintaining order according to the law and the Constitution. The college targets preparing scientifically and practically trained cadres in the police science and legal areas to be appointed as officers in the force. Qatar
Qatar (, ; ar, قطر, Qaṭar ; local vernacular pronunciation: ), officially the State of Qatar,) is a country in Western Asia. Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani ( ar, تميم بن حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني; born 3 June 1980, Doha, Qatar) is the Emir of Qatar who succeeded his father, Sheikh Hamad, after Hamad abdicated in his favour. Tamim is the fourth son of Emir Hamad bin Khalifa. He became heir apparent in 2003 when his older brother Sheikh Jassim renounced his claim to the throne. He became emir when his father abdicated in his favor in 2013. Qatar National Vision 2030 ( ar, رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030; abbreviated as QNV 2030) is a development plan launched in October 2008 by the General Secretariat for Development Planning in the Qatar, State of Qatar. The aim of QNV 2030 is to "transform Qatar into an advanced society capable of achieving sustainable development" by 2030. Qatari Riyal
The Qatari riyal (sign: QR in Latin, in Arabic; ISO code: QAR) is the currency of the State of Qatar. It is divided into 100 dirhams ( ar, درهم). History Until 1966, Qatar used the Indian rupee as its currency, in the form of Gulf rupees. When India devalued the rupee in 1966, Qatar, along with the other states using the Gulf rupee, chose to introduce its own currency. Before doing so, Qatar briefly adopted the Saudi riyal, then introduced the Qatar and Dubai riyal following the signing of the Qatar-Dubai Currency Agreement on 21 March 1966. The Saudi riyal was worth 1.065 Gulf rupees, whilst the Qatar and Dubai riyal was equal to the Gulf rupee prior to its devaluation. Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani
Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani ( ar, عبد الله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني; born 1960) is a Qatari politician, who served as the Prime Minister of Qatar from 26 June 2013 until his resignation on 28 January 2020. A member of the ruling family, he was Minister of State for Internal Affairs from 2005 to 2013. Early life and education He is the son of Sheikh Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
