Pittsburgh Phantoms (RHI)
The Pittsburgh Phantoms were a professional roller hockey team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States that played in Roller Hockey International. The team got its name from the "Steel Phantom" rollercoaster, located at Kennywood Park, a theme park located in the suburb of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. At the time of the team's inception the Phantom was the tallest and fastest steel rollercoaster in the world. The logo was heavily inspired by the roller coaster's logo seen at the entrance to the ride. History The Phantoms played their first game on June 5, 1994. Their opponent was the New England Stingers whom they beat 10-5 in front of a crowd announced as 2,467 at the Cumberland County Civic Center; the first goal in franchise history was scored by Trevor Buchanan. In ice hockey, the captain is the player designated by a team as the only person authorized to speak with the game officials regarding rule interpretations when the captain is on the ice. At most levels of play each team must designate one captain and a number of alternate captains (usually two or three) who speak to the officials when the captain is on the bench. Captains wear a "C" on their sweaters, while alternate captains wear an "A". Officially captains have no other responsibility or authority, although they may, depending on the league or individual team, have various informal duties, such as participation in pre-game ceremonies or other events outside the game. Glenn Clark (roller Hockey)
Glenn Clark (born December 1, 1969, in Pickering, Ontario) is the head coach of the Albany FireWolves (previously the New England Black Wolves) and the former head coach of the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League. He was also a former NLL player. Clark played in the NLL from 1998-2006 for both the Rock and the Philadelphia Wings. With the Rock, Clark won five NLL Championships. He also appeared in three National Lacrosse League All-Star Games, two with the Rock, and one with the Wings. In 2003, Clark played for Team Canada as they won the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships. In 2011, he became goaltending coach for Team Canada. Jamie Adams (born 26 August 1987 in Stranraer) is a Scottish former football player. Club career Kilmarnock Adams was a product of Kilmarnock's youth system, signing for the club in the summer of 2004. He was loaned to Queen of the South as part of a deal in which Kilmarnock signed Queen's Willie Gibson in January 2007. While with Queen of the South he was involved in a controversial event, which later resulted in the Dumfries club being fined by the Scottish Football Association.
