Pirkko Hämäläinen (diplomat)
Pirkko Mirjami Hämäläinen (born September 26, 1961) is a diplomat. In 2023 she became the Finnish ambassador to Turkey. Life Hämäläinen was born in Juankoski in 1961. She completed her master's degree in 1988 and the following year she joined the Finnish diplomatic service. She was in New York at the United Nations in 1989. She then served in Reykjavik, Vienna, Tallinn (Estonia 2005–2009). In 2012 she was in Riga as she became her country's Ambassador to Latvia. She was there until 2014 when she became an under secretary of state. She was involved in 2014 when parliament was asked to amend the legislation that dealt with Finnish embassies. At the time a Finnish embassy with an ambassador had to deliver a range of services. It was proposed that it be changed so that an embassy could consist of just one person. Juankoski
Juankoski is a former town and municipality of Finland. In March 2014, the Juankoski city council decided that the town would merge with Kuopio in the beginning of 2017. Juankoski is located in the province of Eastern Finland, part of the Northern Savonia region. It covers an area of of which is water. Juankoski formally became a town in 1998. Neighbouring municipalities of Juankoski include Juuka, Kaavi, Tuusniemi, Kuopio, Nilsiä and Rautavaara. The former municipality is unilingually Finnish. History In 1746, Brynolf Brunou established an ironworks near the rapids between Vuotjärvi and Akonvesi. The area was a part of the Nilsiä chapel community of the Kuopio parish. Nilsiä became a separate parish in 1816 and a municipality in 1869. Juankoski was moved to the Muuruvesi parish in 1907, remaining a part of it until Juankoski became a separate municipality in 1923. Hannu Kyröläinen
Hannu, Hennu or Henenu was an Egyptian noble, serving as ''m-r-pr'' "majordomo" to Mentuhotep III in the 20th century BC. He reportedly re-opened the trade routes to Punt and Libya for the Middle Kingdom of Egypt. He was buried in a tomb in Deir el-Bahri, in the Theban Necropolis, which has been catalogued as TT313. He is known from two inscriptions, in Wadi Hammamat no. 114 (ca. 2000 BC) as ''hnw'' and in his Deir el-Bahari tomb as ''hnnw''. It is unclear whether the two inscriptions refer to the same person. William C. Hayes postulated their identity while Herbert Eustis Winlock was hesitant to identify them. James P. Allen considers ''hnw'' a successor of ''hnnw'' as the pharaoh's ''m-r-pr''. Sauli Niinistö
Sauli Väinämö Niinistö (; born 24 August 1948) is a Finnish politician who has served as president of Finland since March 2012, the 12th person to hold that office. A lawyer by education, Niinistö was Chairman of the National Coalition Party (NCP) from 1994 to 2001, Minister of Justice from 1995 to 1996, Minister of Finance from 1996 to 2003, Deputy Prime Minister from 1995 to 2001 and the NCP candidate in the 2006 presidential election.
