Piranhas (2019 Film)
''Piranhas'' ( it, La paranza dei bambini, lit=The Fishing trawler, trawler of children) is a 2019 Italian drama film directed by Claudio Giovannesi. It was selected to compete for the Golden Bear at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay. Plot A group of 15-year-old boys from the neighbourhood Rione Sanità in Naples, dreaming to gain power and easy money, make their way on to the city's world of crime. In the unconsciousness of their age, they live between good and evil deeds, thinking that crime can be their only chance of life. Claudio Giovannesi
Claudio Giovannesi (born 20 March 1978) is an Italian film director and screenwriter. Biography After graduating in Modern Letters at the Sapienza University of Rome and in Film Directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Experimental Film Centre, Giovannesi directed his first film ''La casa sulle nuvole'' in 2008 and presented the movie at the Brussels Film Festival (BRFF), Brussels Film Festival. In 2012, Giovannesi directed his second feature film ''Alì ha gli occhi azzurri'' that won the Special Jury Prize and the Best First and Second Feature Award at the Rome Film Festival, while his third film ''Fiore (film), Fiore'' was presented at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival's Directors' Fortnight. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Although the name "Rotten Tomatoes" connects to the practice of audiences throwing rotten tomatoes in disapproval of a poor stage performance, the original inspiration comes from a scene featuring tomatoes in the Canadian film ''Léolo'' (1992). Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations.
