Piper's Hill Ward is a 2-member ward within Kettering Borough Council which is statistically regarded as a marginal ward between Liberal Democrats (UK), Liberal Democrats and the Conservative Party (UK), Conservatives. The ward was last fought at borough council level in the 2015 Kettering Council election, 2015 local council elections, in which one seat was won by the Conservatives and one seat was won by Labour. The current councillors are Cllr. Duncan Bain and Cllr. Anne Lee. Kettering is a market and industrial town in North Northamptonshire, England. It is located north of London and north-east of Northampton, west of the River Ise, a tributary of the River Nene. Warkton (Kettering BC Ward)
Warkton is a small nucleated village and civil parish in the English county of Northamptonshire. It is approximately three miles northeast of the town of Kettering and seven miles west-northwest of Thrapston, and forms part of North Northamptonshire. At the time of the 2001 census, the parish's population was 144 people, reducing slightly to 136 at the 2011 Census. The village's name means 'Farm/settlement which is connected to a man named Weorc(a)'. The Grade I listed parish church of St Edmund is particularly noted for containing four Baroque marble monuments erected between the 1750s and 1830s to members of the local Montagu family of Boughton House. The monuments are housed in four niches in the specially constructed chancel. The original medieval (probably Norman) chancel was demolished to make way for its construction. Philip Hollobone
Philip Thomas Hollobone (born 7 November 1964) is a British Conservative Party politician and former investment banker. He has been the Member of Parliament for Kettering since the 2005 general election. Early life Hollobone was born on 7 November 1964 in Bromley, Kent. He was privately educated at Dulwich College, where he was a contemporary of former UKIP leader Nigel Farage. He went on to study at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford where he was awarded a BA degree in Modern History and Economics. He was a member of the Oxford University branch of the Conservative Monday Club – a 'hard right' pressure group that was later disassociated from the Conservative Party over its policies, such as the voluntary repatriation of ethnic minorities.
