1999 Kettering Council Election
Elections to Kettering Borough Council were held on 6 May 1999. The whole council was up for election and boundary changes had taken place since the last election in 1995. The Labour Party lost its overall majority, the council coming under no overall control. Kettering Borough Council
Kettering is a market and industrial town in North Northamptonshire, England. It is located north of London and north-east of Northampton, west of the River Ise, a tributary of the River Nene. In the 2011 census Kettering's built-up area had a population of 63,675. It is part of the East Midlands, along with other towns in Northamptonshire. The Labour Party is a political party in the United Kingdom that has been described as an alliance of social democrats, democratic socialists and trade unionists.
