Piloti (TV Series)
''Piloti ''is an Italian sitcom, produced by Magnolia TV and aired on Rai 2 for three seasons starting in spring 2007 and ending in fall 2011. Format and situation The programme consists of five-minute unedited "sketch-com" episodes, three of which were broadcast every evening, five days a week. The first season began on 5 April 2007 and ended on 27 September and included 150 episodes; the second season began on 15 November 2008 and ended on 10 August and included 216 episodes; the third season of 43 episodes began on 30 March 2011 and ended on 21 December. Among the three seasons, there are also about 100 unaired episodes. The setting is a budget airline, Piccione Airlines, where Enrico Gasparini () and Max Conti (Max Tortora) are pilots; many episodes take place in a cockpit. Sitcom
A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Sitcoms originated in radio, but today are found mostly on television as one of its dominant narrative forms. A situation comedy television program may be recorded in front of a studio audience, depending on the program's production format. The effect of a live studio audience can be imitated or enhanced by the use of a laugh track. Critics disagree over the utility of the term "sitcom" in classifying shows that have come into existence since the turn of the century. RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana (; commercially styled as Rai since 2000; known until 1954 as Radio Audizioni Italiane) is the national public broadcasting company of Italy, owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Rose D'Or
The Rose d'Or ('Golden Rose') is an international awards festival in entertainment broadcasting and programming. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) first acquired the Rose d’Or in 1961, when it was created by Swiss Television in the lakeside city of Montreux. The awards stayed with the EBU for almost 40 years. The EBU re-acquired the awards in 2013 and successfully re-launched the event that year in Brussels, then relocated to Berlin from 2014 to 2018. In 2014 the event took place on 17 September in Berlin, Germany. For the first time in its 53-year history, the competition categories were extended to include radio and online video programmes in addition to the traditional focus on television. Pamela Prati (until 2016 as Paola Pireddu; born 26 November 1958) is an Italian actress, showgirl, model, singer, and television hostess. She has appeared in many television variety shows and in erotic comedies. She has hosted several programmes for Mediaset's Canale 5, including ''Scherzi a Parte'' and ''La sai l'ultima?''. Max Tortora
Max Tortora (born Massimiliano Tortora on 21 January 1963) is an Italian actor. Biography Very active on TV, Tortora began his career on stage in the 1980s, after graduating in Architecture. His most famous role is the role of the mechanic Ezio in the TV series ''I Cesaroni'', from 2006 to 2014, and the co-pilot Max in ''Piloti''. He also took part to several cinepanettoni by Carlo Vanzina.
