Pieter Barbiers (painter)
Pieter Antonsz Barbiers (bapt. April 23, 1717 in Amsterdam – September 7, 1780 in Amsterdam) was a skillful Dutch artist. He painted scenery for the theaters in Amsterdam, Leiden, etc. Another picture representing the conflagration of the former in the year 1772 has been engraved by C. Bagerts. Leiden (; in English and archaic Dutch also Leyden) is a city and municipality in the province of South Holland, Netherlands. Conflagration
A conflagration is a large fire. Conflagrations often damage human life, animal life, health, and/or property. A conflagration can begin accidentally, be naturally caused (wildfire), or intentionally created (arson). A very large fire can produce a firestorm, in which the central column of rising heated air induces strong inward winds, which supply oxygen to the fire. Conflagrations can cause casualties including deaths or injuries from burns, trauma due to collapse of structures and attempts to escape, and smoke inhalation. Bartholomeus Barbiers
Bartholomeus Barbiers (11 January 1743 (bapt) – 1808) was a Dutch painter in the 18th century. He was born and died in Amsterdam, the son and pupil of Pieter Barbiers.
