Piermassimiliano Dotto
Piermassimiliano Dotto ( Treviso, 28 February 1970 - Volpago del Montello, 25 October 2012), also known as Piero Dotto, was an Italian rugby union player. Dotto played as a fullback and later as a fly-half. Dotto played most of his career at Benetton Treviso, from 1988/89 to 1999/2000, where he won 5 National Championship titles, in 1988/89, 1991/92, 1996/97, 1997/98 and 1998/99, and the Cup of Italy in 1997/98. He later would play for Silea (2000/01-2002/03), San Marco Rugby Club (2004/05-2005/06) and ADS Rugby Casale (2006/07-2009/10), where he would finish his career, aged 40 years old. He had 4 caps for Italy, from 1993 to 1994, scoring 3 tries, 15 points on aggregate. Treviso ( , ; vec, Trevixo) is a city and ''comune'' in the Veneto region of northern Italy. Volpago Del Montello
Volpago del Montello is a '' comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Treviso in the Italian region Veneto, located about northwest of Venice and about northwest of Treviso on the southern slopes of Montello. History The fall of the Republic of Venice was followed by an upheaval of the rural, political and religious systems replaced by municipalities. Volpago then passed with the whole of Veneto to the Kingdom of Lombardy–Venetia and was later united with the Kingdom of Italy. In 1870, the town was one of the first to be industrialized, thanks to the activity of the Gobbato family. Benetton Rugby, also known as Benetton Treviso ( or ), is an Italian professional rugby union team based in Treviso, Veneto competing in the United Rugby Championship, the European Rugby Challenge Cup and European Champions Cup. Treviso rugby team was founded in 1932 and has won 15 Italian national championships. The team has been owned by the Benetton clothing company since 1979. Treviso have competed in the United Rugby Championship (formerly the Pro14 and Pro12) since 2010, and have previously competed in the Italian domestic championship. Georges Coste (born 7 December 1944 in Perpignan) is a French rugby union coach and former player. Biography Coste debuted playing as fly half in the local club U.S.A. Perpignan, and scored several caps for French junior national teams before his career was halted by a serious injury. As a coach, he trained U.S.A. The 1995 Rugby World Cup was the third Rugby World Cup. It was hosted and won by South Africa, and was the first Rugby World Cup in which every match was held in one country. The World Cup was the first major sporting event to take place in South Africa following the end of apartheid. It was also the first World Cup in which South Africa was allowed to compete; the International Rugby Football Board (IRFB, now World Rugby) had only readmitted South Africa to international rugby in 1992, following negotiations to end apartheid.
