Phunphin District
Phunphin ( th, พุนพิน, ) is a district ('' amphoe'') in Surat Thani province in the south of Thailand. Tha Kham is the principal town of the district. In 2014, the population was 73,067. Geography Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Tha Chang, Bandon, Ban Na Doem, Khian Sa, Khiri Rat Nikhom, and Vibhavadi. It has a short coastline on Bandon Bay to the northeast. The main rivers of the district are the Tapi and its tributary Phum Duang, which flows into the Tapi at the town of Tha Kham. History The district's name was changed from Tha Kham to Phunphin in 1939. Khian Sa District
Khian Sa ( th, เคียนซา, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in Surat Thani province, Thailand. Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Khiri Rat Nikhom, Phunphin, Ban Na Doem, Ban Na San, Wiang Sa, Phrasaeng and Phanom. Khian Sa is about 60 kilometres from Surat Thani. Geography The district is in the Khian Sa basin, which is crossed by the Tapi River, which also forms part of the eastern boundary of the district. The area of the district is mostly used for palm farming or rubber plantations, while along the river are swamps like the Nong Thung Thong swamp. The main road through the district is Thailand Route 44, which connects Krabi with Khanom. Tha Kham ( th, ท่าข้าม) is a town in southern Thailand. As of 2006 it covered an area of 14.10 km² and had a population of 20,349. It covers parts of the subdistrict (''tambon'') Tha Kham of Phunphin District, Surat Thani Province. It is on the shores of the Tapi River. The Surat Thani Railway Station is in town center. Thesaban
Thesaban ( th, เทศบาล, , ) are the municipalities of Thailand. There are three levels of municipalities: city, town, and sub-district. Bangkok and Pattaya are special municipal entities not included in the ''thesaban'' system. Tha Sathon
250px, Surat Thani railway station Tha Sathon ( th, ท่าสะท้อน) is a ''tambon'' (sub-district) of Phunphin District, Surat Thani province, southern Thailand. Description Tha Sathon is a hub for transportation of Surat Thani. It is the location of Surat Thani railway station, a provincial main station. Most tourists who travel by train from Hua Lamphong railway station in Bangkok tend to get off at this station to continue traveling to Ko Samui. Tha Sathon also has a few other railway stations. Tapi river, the main watercourse of the province, flows through the right side of the area and forms a line between Tha Sathon and Surat Thani city. Muban ( th, หมู่บ้าน; , ) is the lowest administrative sub-division of Thailand.
