Philippe Caroit
Philippe Caroit (born September 29, 1959) is a French actor, painter, and writer. Early life Caroit was born in Paris, as the fourth of seven children. In his teenage years, he began to develop a passion for travelling, to discover new places and meet people, which made him also learn several foreign languages. After finishing school, he started to study medicine, following the footsteps of his father. In the third year of studies, he joined the Conservatoire in Montpellier, where he discovered his passion for theatre. Back in Paris, he continued to study medicine and theatre in parallel. In the sixth year of medicine, while working in a hospital in the 14th arrondissement in Paris, he decided to give up the study and dedicate completely to become an actor, joining the Théâtre de Soleil of Ariane Mnouchkine. Jacques Deray
Jacques Deray (born Jacques Desrayaud; 19 February 1929 – 9 August 2003) was a French film director and screenwriter. Deray is prominently known for directing many crime and thriller films. Biography Born Jacques Desrayaud in Lyon, France, in 1929 to a family of Lyon industrialists. At the age of 19 he went to Paris to study drama under René Simon. Deray played minor roles on the stage and in films from the age of 19. From 1952, Deray worked as assistant to a number of directors, including Luis Buñuel, Gilles Grangier, Jules Dassin, and Jean Boyer. Deray's first film was the drama '' Le Gigolo'' released in 1960. Plot Inspector Alexander Stacev is called to the house of three sisters, Ludmilla, Vida and Maria, after Ludmilla claims to have found the dismembered body of Vida's pimp boyfriend Yuri inside their washing machine. When he arrives and finds no body he tells them there is no case, putting it down to a drunken hallucination. The sisters think otherwise and follow and pester him about the disappearance of Yuri, luring him into their strange world.
