Phil Krinkie
Philip B. Krinkie (born February 3, 1950) is an American politician from the state of Minnesota. He is a former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, from 1991 to 2006, and was a candidate for in the United States House of Representatives in 2014 when it was vacated by Michele Bachmann. Krinkie is from Shoreview, Minnesota. He owns a heating and air-conditioning business and is a member of the board of trustees for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. He served as the president of the Taxpayers League of Minnesota, until he resigned to run for Congress. Born in Maplewood, Minnesota, Krinkie went to Minnehaha Academy High School. He then received his bachelor's degree from Coe College in 1975. Coe College is a private liberal arts college in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was founded in 1851 and is historically affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). The college is a member of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest and the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and Universities. History Coe College was founded in 1851 by Rev. Michele Marie Bachmann (; née Amble; born April 6, 1956) is an American politician who was the U.S. representative for from 2007 until 2015. A member of the Republican Party, she was a candidate for President of the United States in the 2012 election, but lost the Republican nomination to Mitt Romney. Born in Waterloo, Iowa, Bachmann moved to Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, as a teenager. She graduated from O. W. The Taxpayers League of Minnesota is a conservative lobbying group dedicated to lowering taxes in Minnesota. Ted Lillie serves as the group's president. Prior to that, Darrell McKigney, Linda Runbeck, David Strom, and Phil Krinkie have served as Presidents of the Taxpayers League. The Taxpayers League was founded in 1997 by Mike Wigley.
