Pezzata Mòchena
The Pezzata Mòchena, known in Mòcheno as the , is an indigenous breed of domestic goat from the Autonomous Province of Trento, in north-eastern Italy. It originates from the Valle dei Mòcheni, also known as the Valle del Fersina and as the Bersntol, which since the fourteenth century has been home to a Mòcheno-speaking population of Bavarian origin; the breed may for this reason also be called the Valle dei Mòcheni. The Pezzata Mòchena is raised in the Valle del Fersina, in the upper and lower Valsugana, and on the . The breed was recognised in 2004, and the herdbook established in March 2005. Bedollo (''Bedól'' in local dialect) is a '' comune'' (municipality) in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about northeast of Trento. A piebald or pied animal is one that has a pattern of unpigmented spots (white) on a pigmented background of hair, feathers or scales. Thus a piebald black and white dog is a black dog with white spots. The animal's skin under the white background is not pigmented. Location of the unpigmented spots is dependent on the migration of melanoblasts (primordial pigment cells) from the neural crest to paired bilateral locations in the skin of the early embryo. Mòcheno Language
Mòcheno (german: Fersentalerisch; bar, Bersntolerisch) is an Upper German variety spoken in three towns of the Bersntol (german: Fersental, it, Valle del Fersina), in Trentino, northeastern Italy. Mòcheno is closely related to Bavarian and is variously classified either as a Southern Bavarian dialect or a separate language of its own. Valsugana
The Valsugana ( it, Valsugana, german: Suganertal) or Sugana Valley is one of the most important valleys in the autonomous province of Trentino in Northern Italy.
