Petite Creuse
The Petite Creuse (french: la Petite Creuse, the small Creuse) is a long river in Allier and Creuse Departments of France, departments, in central France. Its source is at Treignat, southeast of the village. It is a left tributary of the Creuse (river), Creuse into which it flows at Fresselines. The river is dammed at several locations creating valley lakes that are extensively used for recreation, such as fishing, boating and human swimming, swimming. The dams are used to generate hydro-electricity, electricity and to supply water treatment plants providing drinking water to local communities. Creuse (river)
The Creuse (; oc, Cruesa) is a long river in western France, a tributary of the Vienne. Its source is in the Plateau de Millevaches, a north-western extension of the Massif Central. Course The Creuse flows northwest through the following departments and towns: * Creuse department (named after the river): Aubusson. * Indre department: Argenton-sur-Creuse, Le Blanc. * Indre-et-Loire department : Yzeures-sur-Creuse, Descartes * Vienne department: La Roche-Posay The Creuse flows into the Vienne about north of Châtellerault. It receives its longest tributary, the Gartempe, in La Roche-Posay. The Creuse valley is the setting for paintings by the so-called Crozant School, including works by Armand Guillaumin and a series of vivid landscapes by the Bordeaux artist Alfred Smith. Boussac-Bourg
Boussac-Bourg (; oc, Boçac Borg) is a commune in the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in central France. Geography A farming area comprising the village and several hamlets situated in the valley of the small river Béroux, some northwest of Guéret, at the junction of the D916 and the D997. The Petite Creuse river forms much of the southern border of the commune. Lourdoueix-Saint-Pierre
Lourdoueix-Saint-Pierre (; oc, L'Ordoir) is a commune in the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in central France. Geography An area of streams, lakes and farming, comprising the village and some small hamlets, situated some north of Guéret at the junction of the D6, D48 and the D915 roads. The Petite Creuse river forms much of the south-western boundary of the commune's territory, whilst to the north lies the department of Indre. Geography

A farming area comprising the village and a few small hamlets situated some 12 miles (19 km) north of Guéret near the D6 and its junction with the D56 road. The Petite Creuse river forms the southern boundary of the commune's territory.

Bonnat, Creuse
Bonnat (; oc, Bònac) is a commune in the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in France. Geography An area of farming and some associated light industry, comprising the village and several hamlets situated in the valley of the Petite Creuse, some north of Guéret, at the junction of the D6, D15 and the D56. Miscellany The commune owns and manages a nearby chateau de Mornay which has its own racing circuit for cars and motorbikes and is used for corporate functions. It also owns a restaurant in the town near to the church. A small stream flows by the southern border of the town on which stands a recently renovated lavoir (wash-house). A recent development of a very large book repository on land owned by the commune has caused some concern locally because of extensive lorry traffic on the narrow rural roads.
