Peter Shepherd (racing Driver)
Peter Shepherd III (born August 13, 1986) is a Canadian professional stock car racing driver. He is currently racing in the NASCAR Pinty's Series for Dave Jacombs Racing and in the APC Series in the #22 APC/Total Race Car]. Racing career Shepherd started in Kart racing, go-karts and moved on to the Thunder Car division at Flamboro Speedway. He progressed from there to Late Model running in the ALSTAR Series and then into Super Late Models with OSCAAR. Shepherd eventually worked his way into Canada's top series CASCAR running a season and a half winning races along the way as well as Rookie of the year. His prowess drew the attention of NASCAR owner Jack Roush, who invited him to '' Roush Racing: Driver X'', the audition that was held in 2005 and televised on the Discovery Channel. Shepherd turned heads with a surprising performance, ending up as one of six finalists in the competition. Kawartha Speedway
Kawartha Speedway is a 3/8 mile paved oval located in Fraserville, Ontario, approximately 10 km southwest of Peterborough. The paved track is within the harness racing track, temporary grandstands are brought onto the harness racing tracks surface. In 2006, Kawartha Speedway held the final CASCAR Super Series race before it became the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in 2007. Since 2004, Kawartha was the host of the CASCAR Super Series finale. Kawartha Speedway held the finale of the inaugural NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Season which was won by Scott Steckly. The following year, Jason Hathaway picked up his first ever win, and in 2009 D. The NASCAR Pinty's Series (french: Série NASCAR Pinty's), commonly abbreviated as NPS, is a national NASCAR racing series in Canada, and is a continuation of the old CASCAR Super Series which was founded in 1981. Nashville Superspeedway
Nashville Superspeedway is a motor racing complex located in Gladeville, Tennessee, United States (though the track has a Lebanon postal address), about southeast of Nashville. The track was built in 2001 and is currently hosting the Ally 400, a NASCAR Cup Series regular season event, the Tennessee Lottery 250, and the Rackley Roofing 200. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, and is the only series in NASCAR to race production pickup truck based stock cars. The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA).
