Peter Buckley (boxer)
Peter Buckley (born 9 March 1969) is a retired English journeyman boxer who competed from 1989 to 2008. Although he most notably fought around the Featherweight division, he competed at a number of weight divisions up and down on either side. Pro career Buckley turned pro in October 1989, when he fought Alan Baldwin from Brixham at the Colosseum, Stafford, West Midlands, England, it was a close fight which ended in a draw. Buckley lost 256 of his 300 contests, which is the second most in boxing history behind Reggie Strickland. Featherweight is a weight class in the combat sports of boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, and Greco-Roman wrestling. Johnny Bredahl Johansen (born 27 August 1968), known professionally as Johnny Bredahl or Johny Wahid Johansen, is a Danish former professional boxer who competed between 1989 and 2006. ''Boxing Monthly'' was a London-based, worldwide monthly boxing magazine. History and profile ''Boxing Monthly'' was founded in May 1989. Ezekiel "Kell" Brook (born 3 May 1986) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2004 to 2022. He held the IBF welterweight title from 2014 to 2017, and challenged once for a unified middleweight world title in 2016. Lee Selby (born 14 February 1987) is a Welsh former professional boxer who competed from 2008 to 2022. He held the IBF featherweight title from 2015 to 2018, and previously the British, Commonwealth, and European featherweight titles between 2011 and 2014. Lee Meager (born 18 January 1978) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2000 to 2008. He held the British lightweight title in 2006 and challenged for the same title in 2008. Professional career He had his first professional fight in September 2000, when he beat Peter Buckley on points over four rounds at York Hall, Bethnal Green. He won 16 of his first 17 fights, drawing the other, before losing on points to Danny Hunt in a fight for the English lightweight title on 19 November 2004.
