Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Tangerang ( 'Indonesian Football Association of Tangerang'), commonly known as Persita is an Indonesian professional football club based in Tangerang. They currently compete in the Liga 1. Their nicknames are ''Pendekar Cisadane'' (Cisadane Knight) and ''Ayam Wareng'' (The Fierce Rooster). Persita Tangerang finished as a runner-up of the 2019 Liga 2 season. History Persita was first formed in the city of Tangerang on 19 April 1940. It only became an official club after being recognized by the PSSI on 9 September 1953 as their member. In the Liga Indonesia Premier Division era, they were relegated in the 1998–99 Liga Indonesia Premier Division season but got promoted in the next season and clinched the 2000 First Division title. 2011–12 Liga Indonesia Premier Division
The 2011–12 Liga Indonesia Premier Division season is the seventeenth edition of Liga Indonesia Premier Division since its establishment in 1994. The competition is managed by PT Liga Indonesia (LI). This season is the first season of Liga Indonesia Premier Division organized by LI without authorization from PSSI as it has decided to appoint the new PT Liga Prima Indonesia Sportindo (LPIS) to organize the competition. It is then recognized by PSSI breakaway leadership under La Nyalla Matalatti. The participant initially consists of 30 clubs, later reduced to 26 clubs, and finally reduced to only 22 club, divided into two groups. The fixtures were released on 13 December 2011. The season kicked off on 15 December 2011 and is scheduled to conclude in July 2012. Muhammad Toha (footballer)
Muhammad Toha (born 30 January 1997) is an Indonesian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Liga 1 club Persita Tangerang. Club career Persita Tangerang He was signed for Persita Tangerang to play in Liga 2 in the 2017 season. He had to give up his job as a municipal police to pursue his dream as a professional footballer. Toha scored his first-team goal with an equalizer in a 4–4 draw against Blitar Bandung United on 13 August 2019. The 2021–22 Liga 1, also known as BRI Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons, was the fifth season of Liga 1 under its current name and the 12th season of the top-flight Indonesian professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 2008. 2014 Indonesia Super League
The 2014 Indonesia Super League was the sixth season of the Indonesia Super League (ISL), a fully professional football competition as the top tier of the football league pyramid in Indonesia. The season was scheduled to begin in January 2014, but in the end PSSI decided that the competition would begin on 1 February 2014 and possibly end on 7 November 2014.
