Pedro Oliveira (footballer, Born 1981)
Pedro Miguel Ferreira de Oliveira (born 30 November 1981) is a Portuguese former football midfielder. Club career After more than one decade in the youth academy of Boavista F.C. in his hometown of Porto, Oliveira moved to neighbours FC Porto at the age of 18, where he was largely unsuccessful, going on to serve loans for the following two and a half years and starting at Académica de Coimbra in January 2003. In the 2005–06 season he signed for Vitória F.C. in a permanent deal, having played there the previous year on loan. In the summer of 2006, Oliveira left for Romania's CFR Cluj along with a handful of Portuguese players. In his first year he was an important first-team member as the team finished third in Liga I and qualified for the UEFA Cup, but he was deemed surplus to requirements in the following campaign, being loaned to fellow league club UTA Arad. Portugal National Under-20 Football Team
The Portugal national under-20 football team is the national under-20 football team of Portugal and is controlled by the Portuguese Football Federation, the governing body for football in Portugal. The U20 team acts mainly as a feeder team for the under-21s and provides further international development for youth players. Asociația Fotbal Club UTA Arad (), commonly known as UTA Arad or simply UTA, is a Romanian professional football club based in the city of Arad, Arad County, which competes in the Liga I. 2007–08 UEFA Cup
The 2007–08 UEFA Cup was the 37th edition of the UEFA Cup, UEFA's second-tier club football tournament. The final was played at the City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester, England on 14 May 2008 between Rangers of Scotland and Zenit Saint Petersburg of Russia. Zenit won the match 2–0, with goals from Igor Denisov and Konstantin Zyryanov, to claim their first UEFA Cup title. The first qualifying games were played on 19 July 2007 and the main tournament commenced on 20 September 2007. A total of 123 football clubs took part in the tournament (including its qualifying rounds). Liga I
The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. The Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 campaign, being currently on the 29th place in UEFA's league coefficient ranking list. 2006–07 Liga I
The 2006–07 Liga I was the eighty-ninth season of Liga I, the top-level football league of Romania. Season began on 28 July 2006 and ended on 23 May 2007. Teams Eighteen teams played in the 2006–07 season. Four teams were from Moldova, four clubs from Transylvania, one from Dobruja and nine from Wallachia four of them coming from the country's capital city Bucharest. Pandurii Târgu Jiu had been relegated at the end of the previous season but they re-entered Liga I at the expense of Sportul Studenţesc which has been relegated to Liga II due to financial problems. They relegated together with FC Bacău, who finished 16th last season. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. 2004 UEFA European Under-21 Championship
The 2004 UEFA European Under-21 Championship was the 14th staging of UEFA's European Under-21 Championship. The final tournament was hosted by Germany between 27 May and 8 June 2004. Italy U-21s won the competition for the fifth time. Italy's Alberto Gilardino won the Golden Player award. The top three teams in this competition qualified for Athens 2004 Olympics, along with hosts Greece U21s.
