Pavol Paška
Pavol Paška (23 February 1958 – 6 April 2018) was a Slovak politician who served as Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic from 2006 to 2010 and again from 2012 to 2014. He was a member of the Direction - Social Democracy (Smer-SD) party. Early life and education Paška was born in Košice on 23 February 1958. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the Comenius University in Bratislava in 1985. His study fields included Marxist–Leninist philosophy and aesthetics. Prior to his university studies he worked for the State Company Zdroj in Košice. After finishing his study he worked at Education and Culture Centre in Košice and at Self-Administration Office and later Municipal District Administration KVP in Košice. Robert Kaliňák
Robert Kaliňák (born 11 May 1971) is a Slovak politician who was the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior of Slovakia from 4 July 2006 to 12 March 2018. He is a member of the Direction – Social Democracy party. Kaliňák previously served as Minister of the Interior from 4 July 2006 to 8 July 2010. Kaliňák resigned on 12 March 2018 after the murder of Slovak journalist Ján Kuciak. He left as the longest serving minister in the history of modern Slovakia. Early life and education Robert Kaliňák was born on 11 May 1971 in Bratislava. His father was a sailor and his mother worked as a teacher. After graduating from a technical school, he enrolled at the Law Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava from 1989 to 1995. Prague Society For International Cooperation
The Prague Society for International Cooperation is a Prague-based non-governmental organization that originated in communist Central Europe, when political dissidents joined forces to oppose their respective regimes. Though several of its members were imprisoned during the communist era, the Prague Society officially became a registered NGO under President Václav Havel in 1997. Today’s iteration of the organization has inherited much from its years of inception both in its mission and its methodology. In continually promoting a socratic exchange of ideas, the organization works to curtail threads of corruption and abuse within Central Europe. Slovenská televízia (; "Slovak Television"; STV) was a state-owned public television organisation in Slovakia. Anna Belousovová (; born 8 August 1959) is a Slovakia, Slovak politician and a former Deputy Speaker of the National Council (Slovakia), National Council of Slovakia. Political career In 1990 Anna Belousovová became a founding member of the Slovak National Party, which she led between the years 1999 and 2003, making her the first female leader in the party's history. The intra-party rivalry with Ján Slota led to her removal from party leadership in 2010 and subsequent expulsion from the party in 2011. Slovak National Party
The Slovak National Party ( sk, Slovenská národná strana, SNS) is a nationalist political party in Slovakia. The party characterizes itself as a nationalist party based on both social and the European Christian values. Since 1990 SNS has won seats in every Slovak parliament but three (in 2002, 2012 and 2020) and has been part of the government from 2006 to 2010.
