Pauline Gaston
Pauline Marie Monique Mandanas Gaston (born August 27, 1997) is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She played with Ateneo Lady Eagles collegiate women's University team. She currently plays for the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League. Career Ponggay Gaston played for the Ateneo De Manila University collegiate women's University team alongside her sister Therese Gaston. In 2020, she became the captain of the Ateneo Lady Eagles in the UAAP Season 84 volleyball tournaments but the tournament was cut due to the spread of COVID-19. In August 2020, Gaston was signed by the Choco Mucho Flying Titans. In 2023, she was signed by the Chery Tiggo Crossovers. Personal life Ponggay Gaston is the daughter of former PBA player Matthew "Fritz" Gaston and former beauty queen Duday Mandanas-Gaston. She studied high school at the University of Santo Tomas. UAAP Season 76
UAAP Season 76 is the 2013–2014 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. It was hosted by Adamson University with Fr. Maximino D. Rendon, C.M. as president. There were eight universities that competed in fifteen sports with poomsae, a form in the sport of taekwondo now recognized as a regular sport and included in the general championship tally. Some of the sporting events were aired live or on a delayed telecast by ABS-CBN Channel 2 and Studio 23. All the men's basketball games and the women's volleyball games were aired live by ABS-CBN Sports, the former for the fourteenth consecutive year and the latter since Season 69. Starting this season, ABS-CBN Sports will air on Friday afternoons: one men's volleyball game (1-3 pm, on a delayed basis) and one live men's football game (3-5 pm). UAAP Season 80
UAAP Season 80 is the 2017–18 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). This season was hosted by the Far Eastern University. The eight member universities of the UAAP competed in the league's 28 events from 15 sports to vie for the overall championship. This season's sports events included the inaugural 3-on-3 basketball as a demonstration sport held at FEU Manila. UAAP Season 79 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 79 volleyball tournaments started on February 4, 2017 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, with the opening games of the men and women's senior volleyball tourneys, participated by 8 regular UAAP members. Aside from the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the games will also be held at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan City and the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay. The tournament host is the University of Santo Tomas, the season's host school. Rustico "Otie" Camangian will serve as the commissioner of the tournament. UAAP Season 79
UAAP Season 79 (also known as UAAP LXXIX) is the 2016–2017 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). This season, hosted by the University of Santo Tomas officially opened on September 3, 2016. The opening ceremony was held at the UST Plaza Mayor at 3:00 pm with the formal introduction of ballroom dancing as a demonstration sport in this season by the host school University of Santo Tomas (UST) at España, Manila. The official ceremony started at 5:00 pm as there was a concert party themed "Dare to Dream" where the official theme song for the season was revealed. Shakey's V-League 13th Season Collegiate Conference
The Shakey's V-League 13th Season Collegiate Conference is the 26th conference of the Shakey's V-League and the second conference for its 13th season. The conference was started on July 30, 2016 at the Ynares Sports Arena with the first two games of the conference. Majority of the games will be held at the Philsports Arena, Pasig. UAAP Season 78 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 78 high school volleyball tournament started on August 22, 2015. The tournament venue is the Adamson University Gym in San Marcelino St., Ermita, Manila. Adamson is the tournament host. The number of participating schools in the boys' and girls' tournaments both increased to seven. Far Eastern University fielded boys' and girls' volleyball teams beginning season 77. Since there are now seven participating schools, the tournaments have a Final Four format. The UAAP Board decided to move the high school volleyball tournaments from 2nd semester to 1st semester due to the basketball juniors tournament being moved from the 1st semester to 2nd semester. The Shakey's V-League 12th Season Collegiate Conference was the 23rd conference of Shakey's V-League. The opening ceremony was held on July 11, 2015 with the first triple header of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Metro Manila. The 2015 Shakey's V-League (SVL) season was the twelfth season of the Shakey's V-League (SVL). There were three indoor conferences in the season. Open Conference Tournament Format Preliminaries (PL) Single Round-robin. Top four teams qualify for the semifinals.
