2015 SVL Season
The 2015 Shakey's V-League (SVL) season was the twelfth season of the Shakey's V-League (SVL). There were three indoor conferences in the season. Open Conference Tournament Format Preliminaries (PL) Single Round-robin. Top four teams qualify for the semifinals. Semi-finals (SF) The four semi-finalists will compete against each other in a single-round robin phase. * Top two SF teams will compete for GOLD. * Bottom two SF teams will compete for BRONZE. Finals The battle for GOLD and the battle for BRONZE will both follow the best-of-three format. * If the battle for GOLD ends in two matches (2-0), then there will no longer be a Game 3 for either GOLD or Bronze. A tie in the contest for the BRONZE (1-1) will be resolved using FIVB rules. * A tie in the series for GOLD (1-1) after Game 2 will be broken by a Game 3, regardless of the result of the series in BRONZE. Shakey's V-League
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League, a women's collegiate league. Since 2011, the league became open to participation of corporate clubs and other non-collegiate teams. The Spikers' Turf has served as the men's counterpart of the league. History Shakey's V-League (2004–2016) The Premier Volleyball League was established in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. led by Jun Bernardino, Ricky Palou, Moying Martelino, and Rhea Navarro who were businessmen previously known for being men's basketball patrons. The Shakey's V-League was initially an inter-collegiate women's league with teams from the UAAP, NCAA, CESAFI among others playing in the league. PLDT Home Telpad Turbo Boosters
The PLDT Home Fibr Hitters, or the PLDT Volleyball Club is a professional men's volleyball team owned by PLDT. It was established in 2013 and originally consisted of men's and women's teams. In 2018, the women's team became merged with the Smart Giga Hitters (later renamed PLDT Home Fibr Hitters women's team). The men's team has been playing in the Spikers' Turf since October 2018. History The club debuted in 2013 with the women's team debuting first as the PLDT myDSL Speed Boosters women's team in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2013 Invitational Conference. The men's team would follow debuting in the following conference. In 2014, while participating in the PSL, the club joined in the Shakey's V-League with its women's team as the PLDT Home Telpad Turbo Boosters during the 2014 Open Conference. Jennylyn Reyes
Jennylyn Reyes (born January 12, 1991) is a Filipino volleyball athlete who competed with PSL Manila in the 2016 FIVB Club World Championship. Career Reyes played for Meralco Power Spikers from 2013 to 2015. She was awarded Best Libero in the 2015 Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino. She played for Petron Tri-Activ Spikers before being selected to play with Foton Pilipinas in the 2016 Asian Club Championship and with PSL Manila for the 2016 FIVB Club World Championship. Rachel Daquis
Rachel Anne Lopez Daquis (born December 13, 1987) is a Filipino volleyball player. She graduated from the Far Eastern University where she took up Business Management. She was also the team captain of the PLDT HOME TVolution women's team that played in the 2014 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship. She is a former team captain of the FEU Lady Tamaraws in her collegiate years, where she was given the title "Queen Tamaraw". She played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) with the Cignal HD Spikers and is the PSL's brand ambassador for 2018 to 2019. Roger Gorayeb
Roger Gorayeb is a Filipino volleyball coach and former college player. He is noted for being a multi-titled and longtime coach of the San Sebastian College – Recoletos de Manila women's team of the NCAA. Career Gorayeb has served as head coach of the San Sebastian College women's volleyball team. Under Gorayeb's watch, San Sebastian grabbed 11 consecutive championships for the women's team from 1986 to 1997, 22 women's volleyball titles, 6 titles in women's beach volleyball and 11 in junior's volleyball. Gorayeb started his coaching career as a player-coach in 1984, when he was tasked to lead San Sebastian's men's team when their Australian coach left the team. Charo Soriano
Maria Rosario "Charo" Soriano (born October 14, 1985) is a Filipino volleyball player, coach, and politician. Soriano is one of the founders of Beach Volleyball Republic, an outdoor volleyball tournament, and a board member of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation. She also serves as a Sangguniang Bayan, city councilor of Tuguegarao since 2022. Dennise Michelle "Denden" Garcia Lazaro-Revilla (born January 21, 1992) is a Filipina professional volleyball player. Lazaro is a member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team. She is known as the libero and Ateneo Lady Eagles' Iron Eagle. Personal life She was born on January 21, 1992, in Metro Manila. She attended high school at Colegio San Agustin – Makati and completed her BS Biology degree at the Ateneo de Manila University in 2015. Jamenea "Jem" Ferrer is a Filipina volleyball player. She was a 3-time UAAP best setter awardee while playing for the Ateneo university Lady Eagles volleyball team. She was a member of Fab 5 together with Dzi Gervacio, Fille Cainglet–Cayetano, Gretchen Ho and A Nacachi. Lizlee Ann "Tatan" Gata-Pantone (born 17 August 1988) is a retired Filipino volleyball player who last played for PLDT Home Fibr of the 2019 PSL Grand Prix Conference. She was a member of the collegiate varsity volleyball team of Adamson University in both indoor and beach volleyball.
