Patrick Ntsoelengoe
Patrick Pule "Ace" Ntsoelengoe OIS (26 February 1952 – 8 May 2006) was a South African soccer player who is widely considered as one of the greatest the country has ever produced. Early life Ntsoelengoe was born to Daniel Ndimande and Margaret Ntsoelengoe. Ntsoelengoe did not grow up with his parents, as they were not yet married when he was born. The Ntsoelengoe surname comes from his grandmother, who raised him until his parents got married. His surname remained unchanged after this. Ntsoelengoe was a close friend to Mbongeni Ngema. Before starting his soccer career, he played tennis and used to practice at a tennis court next to his home. He also played the organ and the guitar, earning the nickname "Quincy Jones". Ntsoelengoe grew up playing soccer with other boys in the street. Randfontein
Randfontein is a gold mining town in the West Rand, Gauteng, South Africa, west of Johannesburg. With the Witwatersrand gold rush in full swing, mining financier JB Robinson bought the farm Randfontein and, in 1889, floated the Randfontein Estates Gold Mining Company. The town was established in 1890 to serve the new mine and was administered by Krugersdorp until it became a municipality in 1929. Mbongeni Ngema (born 1 June 1956) is a South African writer, lyricist, composer, director, choreographer and theatre producer, born in Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal (near Durban). He started his career as a theatre backing guitarist. He wrote the multi-award-winning musical Sarafina! and co-wrote the multi-award-winning ''Woza Albert!'' He is known for plays that reflect the spirit of black South Africans under apartheid. He was previously married to actress Leleti Khumalo, who received a 1988 Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for '' Sarafina!'' (and who also starred in its 1992 film adaptation), as well as starring in the leading role in South Africa's first Oscar-nominated film '' Yesterday''. Mohlakeng is a township west of Johannesburg in Gauteng, South Africa. History The township was established in 1954. The new location of Mohlakeng was established after African residents of the then old Randfontein township of Madubulaville was abolished by the apartheid regime to make way for the industrial site closer to Randfontein town. Geography Mohlakeng is where the large part of the Randfontein population is situated. It lies 7 kilometres south of Randfontein, and around 38 kilometres West of Johannesburg.
