Patrick Juvet
Patrick Juvet (21 August 1950 – ca. 1 April 2021) was a Swiss model and singer-songwriter, who had a string of hit records in Europe. While his early career was focused on making pop records, he found international success as a disco music performer in the latter half of the 1970s. His biggest hit, " I Love America", made the top twenty in France, Sweden and the UK, and the top ten in the US disco chart. Montreux (, , ; frp, Montrolx) is a Swiss municipality and town on the shoreline of Lake Geneva at the foot of the Alps. The Eurovision Song Contest 1973 was the 18th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, following the country's victory at the with the song "Après toi" by Vicky Leandros. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Compagnie Luxembourgeoise de Télédiffusion (CLT), the contest was held at the Grand Théâtre on 7 April 1973 and was hosted by German television presenter Helga Guitton. Seventeen countries took part in the contest this year, with and deciding not to participate, and competing for the first time. Tessa Charlotte Rampling (born 5 February 1946) is an English actress, known for her work in European arthouse films in English, French, and Italian. Jannick Top
Jannick "Janik" Top is a French bass player and composer, born in Marseille. Top plays the electric bass and the cello. In the 1970s, he was a lead member of the influential zeuhl band Magma, along with Christian Vander and Didier Lockwood. From 1977 to 1980, he played in the popular electronic project Space. Since then, he has worked with many other musicians, including session work for Michel Berger, France Gall, Richard Cocciante, Bonnie Tyler, Eurythmics, Ray Charles, Céline Dion as well as live playing and musical direction for shows, including Johnny Hallyday and Starmania. Voyage (band)
Voyage was a French disco and pop group, consisting of André "Slim" Pezin (guitar/vocals), Marc Chantereau ( keyboards/vocals), Pierre-Alain Dahan (drums/vocals) and Sauveur Mallia (bass), together with British lead vocalist Sylvia Mason-James, who sang on the group's first two albums, ''Voyage'' (1977) and '' Fly Away'' (1978). For their next two albums, Pierre-Alain Dahan became the lead vocalist on ''Voyage 3'' (1980) and on ''One Step Higher'' (1982), and the group's sound changed from disco to pop. David Hamilton (photographer)
David Hamilton (15 April 1933 – 25 November 2016) was a British photographer and film director best known for his photography of young women and girls, mostly in the nude. His signature soft focus style was called the "Hamilton Blur", which was erroneously thought to be achieved by smearing Vaseline on the lens of his camera. It was not created that way. Hamilton's images became part of an "art or pornography" debate. In October 2016, French presenter Flavie Flament accused him of raping her in 1987, when she was 13 years old. In November 2016, French magazine ''L'Obs'' published anonymous accounts from three other former models affirmed to have been raped by Hamilton. Victor Willis
Victor Edward Willis (born July 1, 1951) is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He is the founding member of the disco group Village People. He performed as their lead singer and was co-songwriter for all of their most successful singles. In the group, he performed costumed as a policeman or a naval officer. The son of a Baptist preacher, Willis developed his singing skills in his father's church. With training in acting and dance, he went to New York and joined the prestigious Negro Ensemble Company. He appeared in many musicals and plays, including the original Broadway production of ''The Wiz'' in 1976 and subsequently, the Australian production. The Ritchie Family
The Ritchie Family are an American vocal group based in Philadelphia that achieved several hits during the disco era. They have reunited and continue to perform. Their latest single "Whatcha Got" was released in 2021. Background The three original members were not related; the group was a creation of Jacques Morali who also formed the Village People. Village People is an American disco group known for its on-stage costumes and suggestive lyrics in their music.
