Patricio Lorente
Patricio Lorente (born March 19, 1969 in La Plata) is an Argentine scholar and General Secretary of the National University of La Plata. Biography Lorente was born in La Plata on March 19, 1969. He's the only male among the four children of his parents, Hugo Enrique Lorente, a telecommunications engineer of Basque descent, and Beatriz Gliemmo, an architect of Italian descent. He completed the Escuela Número 18 de Gonnet and high school in the Colegio Nacional de 1 y 49. Later, he studied philosophy, law, letters and computer science at the National University of La Plata, but without graduating. For several years he worked in the field of Development Cooperation, managing the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of local development projects funded by the Italian government and the European Union. La Plata
La Plata () is the capital city of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. According to the , it has a population of 654,324 and its metropolitan area, the Greater La Plata, has 787,294 inhabitants. It is located 9 kilometers (6 miles) inland from the southern shore of the Río de la Plata estuary. La Plata was planned and developed to serve as the provincial capital after the city of Buenos Aires was federalized in 1880. It was officially founded by Governor Dardo Rocha on 19 November 1882.
