Patras Yusaf
Patras Yusaf was the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Multan from 1984 until his death in 1998. Yusaf was born in Francisabad, Pakistan on 29 July 1936. He received his religious training at the Christ the King Seminary (Pakistan) and was ordained a priest on 29 December 1965. He was appointed as vicar general of Faisalabad diocese in 1970. He obtained a degree in moral theology in Rome in 1976, after which he taught at Christ the King Seminary in Karachi. He also wrote a book in the Urdu language on the Christian family. He served as the fourth national director of Caritas Pakistan from 1986 to 1998. On 19 Dec 1981 Pope John Paul II appointed him Auxiliary Bishop of Multan. He was Ordained Bishop on 19 February 1982. A bishop is an ordained clergy member who is entrusted with a position of authority and oversight in a religious institution. Caritas Pakistan opened in 1965 and has many years of humanitarian assistance history in Pakistan. It is affiliated with Caritas Internationalis, a Roman Catholic humanitarian organisation and one of the largest networks dedicated to reducing poverty and injustice in the world. Joseph Coutts
Joseph Coutts (born 21 July 1945) is a Pakistani prelate of the Catholic Church, who served as Archbishop of Karachi from 2012 to 2021. He served as Bishop of Faisalabad from 1998 to 2012. Pope Francis created Coutts a cardinal on 28 June 2018. Biography Coutts was born in Amritsar, British India on 21 July 1945. Holy Redeemer Cathedral
Holy Redeemer Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city of Belize City, Belize. It is canonically the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Belize City-Belmopan. It shares the role with Our Lady of Guadalupe Co-Cathedral in Belmopan, though the Bishop's offices remain at Holy Redeemer. The Pakistan Catholic Bishops' Conference (PCBC) is the episcopal conference of the Catholic bishops of Pakistan. Its objectives are to facilitate coordinated study and discussion of issues affecting the Church, and adoption of a common policy and effective action in all matters concerning the Church in Pakistan. The Pakistan Catholic Bishops' Conference decided on 18 April 1990 to build this new seminary for philosophical studies in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lahore. Christ The King Seminary (Pakistan)
The Christ the King Seminary is a Roman Catholic seminary in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town, Karachi, Pakistan; located in adjacent to the Portiuncula Friary. In its early years most of the faculty were provided by the Franciscans. It has been described as "the pioneering theological institution for the Catholic Church in Pakistan." The high-water mark of the seminary's 50-year existence was the recruitment of 98 seminarians for the class that entered in 1990.
